had my trial today no picks she won't allow it b/c of past stuff I was very happy with my trial her fm me with questions too many eyes

WOW! She really won't allow pics????? I can't believe it! I want a trial with her because of Jaime's pics. I hope she reconsiders that policy.

I don't get that. I don't know Danielle or any other make-up artist on this board. But I did read a bit of what happened this week. How can she control whether or not you take pictures of yourself and post them?

To me that conveys that she really is not confident in her work.

Sorry to hear that you can't post the pics. I hope that you were able to take a picture, so that you know how the make-up will look in your pictures.

i don't blame her for not wanting them posted, i'm just asking if you can still take them for your own reference. Like its been said before, you may look great inthe mirror, but you should also look great on film. I hope we can still take them for our own use

Ive never heard of a makeup artist that didnt let the bride take pictures. I can understand not wanting pics posted in a public area, but many brides I know take pictures for thier own use in order to make thier decision on which one to book. No offense, but I would want to see what my makeup would look like in pictures before I booked them, and that would go for any makeup artist I would do a trial with. Maybe she would allow pics if they promised not to post them anywhere??

I don't understand how she can possibly think she can stop you from posting? If you go home and take pics and want to post them, isn't that your right? If you want opinions isn't that your right?

If her work is good she will only benefit from such posts. When I had my trial with Jacqueline Nicole she was excited when I told her I would post the pics.

I kind of feel that she can't stop people from posting picks, but I do understand because of what happened. I guess she feels that she doesn't want her business to go down the tubes if there are negative opinions. I guess this site can be a tough thing to become a part of- a few negative opinions can destroy a business if they have enough impact. However I think that everyone is entitled to their opinion and just as some people did not like her work there are some who still will.

I agree that everyone is entitled to their opinions. I just think it is kind of nervy for her to think she can stop people from posting pics. I also think that more people posting pics could only help her especially if her work is good. If you stand behind your work why don't you want people to see it? There are quite a few vendors on here that have built up amazing businesses largely because of people posting pics.

I was speaking to a vendor from here the other day who said that this site has the power to destroy a business- we are that powerful! I think Danielle Renee got nervous over the incident earlier in the week. She should be proud of her work and have faith in it to stand on its own merits.

She certainly cannot stop you from posting them unless you sign something, but she CAN look and see, then refuse her services if you did post them. And honestly, I can understand her not wanting them on here. Oh well. As long as you can have them yourself.
