Dark Brown Dresses and Tux help

I know that I have plenty of time, but I'm bored at work, and was thinking....If my BM's will be wearing dark brown dresses, will black tuxes be the best choice? Some may say black and brown don't match.... just wondering.

We had this combo and it looked beautiful.
Keep in mind Blk goes with anything.

I normally say that black and brown don't match and if I were wearing a brown dress, I wouldn't wear black shoes.

However, I have seen black tuxes with brown ties/vests and it looks good! My girls are wearing chocolate brown and my guys will wear black tuxes with brown ties and vests.

Thank you.... I agree with the whole black/brown non-matching issue, however, I think it can look good.

my girls are wearing espresso brown dresses and the tuxes will be black with a chococalte textured vest...

I think i really like the brown vests--it looks classy!! We have a similiar problem. We are doing the Bill Levkoff 966 dress in champagne with the brown sash and I think we might do the brown vest, if I went with champagne the GM may look to much like my FH's vest.

My color theme is lavender and choc. brown and my guys are wearing a deep brown tux. They are by Calvin Klein and look really great. Check out the tux shops and see what choices they have.

I wouldn't worry about it. I think the black tuxes will look fine with the brown dresses.

I think it did look classy! Thanks! That is why I didn't go with the champagne vests for the GM. DH had a silver vest. Not enough contrast in the colors then. Love that BM dress. Very pretty!

I think black tuxes will look great with brown dresses... However, you don't have to match the vest to the BM dress.

My girls are wearing navy and the GMs will be wearing black tuxes, but not with navy vests... probably black or a black/silver pattern.

Im having my girls in brown and guys in black. They will have brown vests and ties to match the girls.. Ive seen it before and it looks great.

My DH got his in Bayside Queens. At Bell Formal on Bell Blvd. I think a lot of the tux places carry brown now, but I'm sure you could all around to the larger ones and see if they carry those colors. There is also a place on Rt. 109 in Farmingdale, next to All Star Limo and I know they carry a very large selection and they had brown & champagne that last time I had been there. They are really nice there too. I wish I could remember the name of the places - sorry!

I was just in a wedding with those colors. The girls wore dark brown dresses, the guys black tuxes, black vests and and their ties were black/brown/white. Looked GREAT!
