Dark Envelopes & USPS

So my invitations have a really dark brown metallic enveope and im a little afraid that that when the post office hand cancels them, the ink wont be visible. does anyone know anything about this?

I may do a sample test run at the post office to check but just wanted to get your views before I do.

It actually looks lighter in the pic!
