JMG11 I have to tell you I think your house looks amazing!

Where did you get your 'bar'? I LOVE IT!!!

Thank you so much - that is so sweet of you. The bar is from crate and barrel. I am embarrassed to admit it was the first piece of furniture we bought!

Re: Dark red - dining room

Thank you all for your input! I am so excited to do it dark red like I had wanted. Based on your feedback and pictures, I know it will look awesome. Tomorrow I will go looking for paint. When it is all done, I will post pics.

Thanks again!

I have a deep red dining room. One of my favorite colors in the house. I will bump my thread with pictures.

Just make sure you use a tinted primer!!!

We have a dark red dining room with the Broyhill dining set that you picked out. It looks great together.

Re: Dark red - dining room

I recently redid my tiny dining room and painted it Garrison Red. It had a white wainscotting lower half which we left up. Our living room is the adjoining room and we have that painted a very light brown (beige).

Here's a pic (don't mind the unfinished crown molding and the mess around it. This was around Thanksgiving):
