Ladies, I need suggestions! DH and I do a monthly date night where one of us plans something special for the other, without telling the other person what we're doing. We've been doing this since after our wedding last July and January is my month! Only I'm tapped out on ideas! We've done movies, live theatre, and ice skating. It's so much harder in the cold weather because you are limited to mostly indoor activities. Also, I don't live in NY, so it can't be anything based there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Re: Date Night Ideas?
What about a picnic at home but with a fancy meal ordered in? Sit on the floor, wine, etc...

Re: Date Night Ideas?
Picnic idea is very cool, but HE did that one for me! Doh! And I'm not sure he can bowl...he hurt his hand real bad in a car accident years ago and everytime I mention bowling he says he can't do it. But thanks for the ideas!!

Re: Date Night Ideas?
Dave and Busters or Jillians? Concert? Ferry trip to the casino in CT? Ever heard of the books '101 Nights of Grrreat Romance' and '101 Nights of Grrreat Sex' by Laura Corn? They're a lot of fun for things like this! ;o)

I would definitly try and go for a massage together. My future uncle got this for his wife for chreistmas and it seems so romantic.

Re: Date Night Ideas?
I agree on the massage. Not sure if your DH would be into getting a mani and pedi together.
A comedy club maybe? How about medieval times or something like that...one of those interactive dinner things like a murder mystery or something like a Tony and Tina's wedding.
Let us know what you go with!

Re: Date Night Ideas?
Alison, do you both drink wine? I went to a small town in VA where there are a bunch of little shops and some restaurants. There is a wine store that carries wines from VA wineries. I went there one night with Keith, his brother and sister-in-law. We went to the wine shop for some wine tasting and then to dinner. The people who own/work in the wine store are very nice and they have a nice little set up in the back where you can try many different wines. I don't know where we were, but we were visiting my in-laws who live in Fairfax when we went.
I can find out more info if you want.

Re: Date Night Ideas?
Becky, which one? I actually took him to a wine festival at Tarara for one date night!
I think what we are going to do is...(drumroll, please)...the planetarium! I found out there is one right near our house that has a 7:30 pm show on Saturdays. So we'll check that out and then grab some dinner...maybe try a Restaurant Week restaurant.
Lots of great ideas, though, and I appreciate them all! After a while, I am sure I will have to repeat some dates anyway, and I will keep all these in mind!! Thanks all!
