I have seen that many of the brides have given themselves about a month before the wedding date (rsvp). I have actually given myself two weeks i was wondering why do you need one month. I have started my temporary seating chart. and i have to give one week notice to my hall. As for calling those who do not RSVP I hope that only takes two to three days.

I gave myself 5 weeks because so many people slack when it comes time to mail back the RSVP's

We gave ourselves one month, and thank goodness we did that. There are so many people that have not sent the rsvp's back.
We started doing the seating yesterday and needed a break after 30 minutes of doing 2 tables. We have 215 people coming and I have a feeling this is gonna take us at least 2 weeks to straighten out.

My wedding is on October 30th and our rsvp date is Sept. 18th....I wanted to have at least 1 month to call the guests who FORGOT to RSVP,,and give myself enough time to do the seating chart based on the guests coming,,and also so I can give a definite number to our hall..

I gave myself a little over a month because I figured some RSVPs would be late and I'd need to call some guests. Which is exactly what happened, so I had plenty of time to follow up.

We gave 6 weeks for our RSVP's. With about 2 weeks left we are still getting them back People take so long to decide if they are comming or not

I gave myself 6 weeks. My wedding is 10/22 and my RSVP date is 9/12. I know how hard it has been for past friends and family so I want to leave myself plenty of time in case I need to call anyone.
