What exactly constitutes a 'dated' hairstyle? Is there such a thing anymore?
I ask because I was talking to my SIL (who thinks she knows everything) about my 2nd trial this weekend and she said 'just be sure not to get a dated hairstyle...'
It kind of ticked me off because a-I have PMS and b-I think she thinks that any style with volume is 'dated.' And I think that she thinks all of the styles I like are 'dated.' Meanwhile, i have only shown her pictures that I have found on here...
Any feedback?

Re: Dated Hairstyle?
Big poofy 80's hair is dated - things like that. I think she is trying to give you sound advice but going about it wrong. It sounds to me like she is trying to tell you to stick with a 'classic' hairstyle so that 20 years from now you don't open your wedding album and say 'what was I thinking with that hair!' But if you want to have big poofy 80's hair on your wedding - then rock out! As long as you are happy, who cares what anyone thinks (now or 20 years from now).

Re: Dated Hairstyle?
Everything is 'dated': just think about it: hair, wedding dress types (my cuz's long sleeved one was a 'classic'), jewlery.
Just go with what you like.

Re: Dated Hairstyle?
I would say any 80's pouf or mullet is dated. Other than that, anything goes!! Don't listen to her!! Love your trial pics!! You are going to be gorgeous!!

Re: Dated Hairstyle?
Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I think your hair looks so beautiful in the pictures that you have in your album. You are a beautiful girl and will look amazing in any hair style, as for hair styles in general, I dont think there is a really an outdated one anymore, everyones style is just so different today, so basically anything goes. Some updos are a bit to high, which I think look a little to old fashioned, but again, every bride has different features, some look better with there hair up, down, with a tiara, with a head band, with hair pins, so my advise is, go with what your heart tells you is the right choice, you are the one who needs to be 100% happy with it and only you, trust me you will find the perfect style, sometimes it take a few tries, I just did my second trial and I fell so much in love with it, I loved the first one so much too, but now decided to get rid of the tiara and wear my hair down with tons of beautiful curls and I purchased a beautiful new head piece, I am out the money on the other tiara, but like I said, its my Wedding Day, and we need to be happy with our choice. All will be perfect for you...Best of luck with everything.....Kristy

Re: Dated Hairstyle?
Thanks everyone...I think I'm just a tiny bit sensitive...
However, she has alos made it clear that pink flowers are for sweet 16s and not weddings...
