We chose June 12, 2010 because it will be 9 years since our first date!

Re: dates.....
ours was based on our desire to have a winter wedding, December having to many birthdays and holidays, and february getting to expensive for flowers. We chose the 17th, the Sunday of MLK weekend, so OOT guests could fly in on Saturday and out on Monday and not miss work or school

Re: dates.....
we did it because to have a saturday evening in the summer was way too expensive, so we worked around my school vacations (i'm a teacher) and FH's school schedule (he's still in grad school). it is also close to our dating anniversary. i really wanted a sat wedding because i have a lot of OOT guests.

Re: dates.....
With FH's working/racing schedule we only had a window of Jan-March to have the Wedding and go for a honeymoon. I really wanted to do NYE wedding but it would have been way too expensive, so i chose the Jan. 2nd which works out even better because its my favorite aunts wedding date and her husband is going to be the one that is walking me down the aisle to give me away

Re: dates.....
I always wanted a summer wedding. And summer works best for me anyway because I won't be running my focus groups and I won't be in school. Everything else just fell in place as we signed our contract. We went from wanting a saturday wedding, to being pretty much set on a friday wedding, and then totally changing to a thursday wedding. 7/22/2010...sounds like a perfect day to get married to me!

Re: dates.....
i really didnt know what month i wanted....FH asked to pick between February and March because none of his favorite sports are on during those months so he wont miss anything on the HM and his friends wouldnt be wandering off to find out scores (isnt this a lovely story) February was cheaper then march and the 20th was a weekend i woudlnt have my period or the following week for that matter for our HM

Re: dates.....
we both wanted May. And we booked May originally. But we headed to the RH on the day we were going to get married on and We didnt like how the flowers werent in full full bloom. So we chose July.

Re: dates.....
When we first got engaged we both knew we wanted a summer wedding. June was kind of difficult for us with graduations and such so we went for July. I wanted it in the beginning of July before it got unbearably hot, but FH didn't want the 4th bc it's a holiday and the 17th is my parent's wedding anniversary so the 10th it was!

Re: dates.....
I wanted to do our anniversary which is 4/15 but April is such an iffy month when it comes to weather and an outdoor ceremony is important to us.
So we decided to go with 9/5. It's the first week of September (also labor day weekend) and it usually has good weather *crosses fingers*

Re: dates.....
I would have loved to do our dating anniv (9/1) but it was the Mon of labor day weekend so it wasn't the greatest timing.
Our date picked us
I'm a law student and we wanted to do a honeymoon so it left winter break, beginning of summer or end of summer. Ruled out winter because I hate the cold and we had a lot of OOTers coming, and I picked Aug because I liked the symmetry of 08/___/08 and didn't want to get married RIGHT after finishing exams. Plus, it was very close to our old anniv.
My last day of my summer job was 8/8/08 (my birthday!) and classes started up on 8/25. The best weekend was the one in the middle (8/15, 8/16, 8/17) because it left me one week off to fly back to NY and do last minute details, the wedding, and then one week for our honeymoon.
Jewish brides aren't supposed to get married on Shabbat which is Fri sundown until Sat sundown, so that ruled out 8/15 or 8/16 until sundown. Didn't want to pay extra for a Sat night wedding if the ceremony wouldn't start until 8pm or later (and then have a lot of people leave early) so we did Sunday afternoon instead. Worked out great!

No special reason just kind of picked March.

Re: dates.....
I originally wanted a fall wedding- October or November- I just love the weather. And FH hates the summer and warm weather. Then we wanted 10/10/10..then went back to October or maybe November. Contemplated March a little.
Someone ended up with July because we got a REALLY good deal!
