Dave & Buster's Question?

Dave & Buster's Question?

My friend and I are looking to do something for our joint Bday party this saturday.

We're most likey doing dinner at Carmines since its family style and would be cheaper with a group of about 15. But then afterwards we don't know what to do. We looked at Comedy Clubs in the city and they all had a cover charge and drink minumum, which all is a tad expensive.

So we were thinking of Dave and Busters. Neither of us have ever been there. So if anyone has, can you fill me in on how much it may cost to go there for an individul. We feel bad asking people to come out for our bdays and spend a lot of money. Oh and also, what is there do to there? I know theres games, is there bowling?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Dave & Buster's Question?

It's a fun place..I love it!

They have promotions on certain days that you can find on their website. Like if you spend $15 you get your meal and a $10 playing card.

Most things on their menu are anywhere from $10-25..I don't remember seeing anything too expensive..

I can't really remember how much drinks were, so I'm guessing they are about average.

As for the games. it depends how much you want to play..but a $20 card usually lasts me about an hour...

They also have bowling, pool and a bar.

Re: Dave & Buster's Question?

Okay - as for the one in the city - i went there for dinner once - i didn't do the games.. I've been to A LOT of the other locations though - Pittsburgh, one on Long Island and spend a lot of time in the one in Philly.

The way it typically works is that you buy a game card - none of their machines take coins. The card can be as much as you want to spend and at each game you swipe your card. You may have some friends who are game crazy & will get a 50 dollar card - or a 25 or a 20 dollar card. It's all up to them! You may also have some friends who prefer to watch everyone else...so they spend nothing.

They will very likely have pool tables, they have tv's with all sporting events on them. They may or may not have the actual bowling alley - but if not - they may have the virtual bowling which is surprisingly a TON of fun to play (since the first time we tried it - we now play EVERY time we go). Their main thing is arcade games - pinball, coin pushing games (where you put in a coin to make other coins fall - i'm ADDICTED to those)....video games, some trivia games. Most of them have foosball and skeeball, air hockey. Some of them have a dance club in them.

It can't hurt to give them a call and see what types of things they have - but their website should also give you a lot of info as well!

Hope this helps!!!

You can just stop in at any Dave and Busters and they will give u a menu and price for everything.

There website also offers all the buffet options as well as entertainment. No prices but you can get a head start.

I mentioned Karaoke, but my friend is even more shy than me and isnt comfortable doing that We are doing Carmines in Times Squarem and I said if worse comes to worse we can walk time square until we get those people handing you tickets to a comedy club, but we were going to try to make reservations since we're a group. As for a bar, we wanted to do something fun and different, since all of our friends do that. We always end up at Metro 53 though

we actually looked at bowlmore last night, and thats one of them. Hmm. I'm thinking though, if we do that then we'd want to find something to eat around there or eat there. Dont want to worry about taking a cab or train all around the city. It looks really nice though!

Theres alot of good places downtown, you are set on italian?
