In order to try on gowns, you need to make an appointment. That has been my experience. I think to just come in and look it should be ok. I popped in with a friend one day and just looked at bridal and bm gowns. They have a limited number of fitting rooms, and you do need to have a consultant help you.

I've gone in and tried on without an appt but you're pretty much on your own. If you really wanna try on a bunch of wedding gowns you should make an appt

I've had 2 appointments there so far, and I think it's best so you can save yourself a headache in case they're busy! They are very formal and appointment oriented there. I liked the one in Massapequa.

I went there for a bridesmaid dress a few years ago, and was allowed to just look around and bring some dresses into the fitting rooms. I brought a friend so I didn't have to worry about getting the dresses zipped up or anything.
I'm guessing it's different for a bridal gown appt though. Call and ask!
