I know we've all heard the horror stories of the Carle Place store which is why I won't go there although it is much closer to me. I have an appt at the Queens store on Sunday. I was wondering if anyone has used or knows anything good or bad about the Brooklyn store.

Re: David's
BAD BAD BAD!!!
I have 2 horror stories...
my cousin who is a little plus size ordered her BM dress there for a wedding in December and first they ordered her a size 2. Then when they reordered it they ordered it too large and she had to pay so much in alterations. She's been fighting with them from day one. She has had a bad experience with them
Horror Story number 2. My dad is the orkin man and he does inspections, he was in David's today and they have a beatle problem and not the singing group of the 60's.

Re: David's
I used the Carle Place store and had absolutely NO PROBLEMS!!!!! I had ordered my dress and they told me 12 weeks it would be in (they had to order my size) WALA...8 weeks later, my dress was in.
Then we went back for BMS dresses. I was a little afraid b/c I have heard some bad things (but I have heard bad things about many bridal stores). Anyay, we went there found two dresses we wanted and had to choose. About a month later I called and ordered over the phone. The girl was nice and helpful and WALA a month and 1/2 later all dresses were and and they all fit perfectly (except they need minor alterations).
SO I have to say I had a great experience there and saved lots of $$$ for me and my girls as well
I will have my alterations done elsewhere though, as will my girls...don't want to push my luck

Re: David's
I went to the Queens store with a BM to look for and order dresses. I think because we went on a Wednesday morning, it was not crowded and we got great service. My BM's dress came in about 6 weeks. We returned during the week but late in the afternoon. The service wasn't as great as the first time there, but I wouldn't say it was bad. The lady doing alterations was very helpful and answered our many questions. Good luck!

Re: David's
I went to the Brooklyn store to get my dress. The ladies were VERY helpful and nice. The only complaint that I have is that the second time I went back there, since they only allocate a certain amount of time to each appointment and we ran over ours, that the service kinda lacked when I was ready to buy the dress I picked. I got my alterations done elsewhere though because I heard HORROR stories about their alterations. GOOD LUCK
