Me. I had a bad experience, but mine is somewhat circumstantial and unique.
I used to work at the David's in Danbury, CT, which is where I bought the dress/had the bad experience. FM for details.

Re: davids bridal
i didn't order mine there because 'the one' wasn't there but I had a good experience with them.
Granted I have to say I felt it was more salesy and factory like than a private bridal shop but nothing bad though.

I got my dress and my BM dresses there....had a bit of trouble when the BM dresses came in...I was not notified. But all in all, everything came out great. I had my alterations done elsewhere.

Re: davids bridal
I bought my gown and veil, bridesmaids, jr. bridesmaids and flower girl dresses at David's in Carle Place.
I had a great experience and the selection and prices are great!

Re: davids bridal
I didn't order my dress from david's bridal, but my friend got married last year and we got the BM dresses from there and didn't have a very good experience.
I have to say, I used Burtons in melville. I love them! My dress, Bm and flowers for a great price and they are very nice.

Re: davids bridal
I just had my bridal party order there bridesmaid dresses in the David's Bridal in Carle Place. I have 10 girls and I gave them a choice of 9 dresses. I have not recieved them yet but I will say they were as helpful as they could be due to the fact that the store was so busy. They did not have much help. I am however very happy with the dresses and the colors they had for me to choose from. I chose the color cinnamon and I could not find this color anywhere else. I love it, especially since my wedding is in October. It is a nice fall color.
Hopefully they will come in ok but I am having the girls go somewhere else for the alterations. I feel like I would not get the help I need with such a large bridal party.

Re: davids bridal
I got my dress as well as my Moms and my maid and matron of honors - They were rude and didn't help much - they never called to say the dresses came in then when I called they couldn't find them - then when I went to pick them up they were the wrong sizes! I am NOT going to them for alterations - I am going somewhere else!

Re: davids bridal
they also didn't tell me when we ordered the BM dresses that they were discontinued so they had to get them from other stores

Re: davids bridal
MY aunt is getting married in July and I'm a bridesmaid. We ordered our dresses in January. Why was our delivery date March 20 and the dresses still aren't here? The one in White Plains. I would expect that the delivery date would be later, then the dress comes in earlier, not the opposite.

Re: davids bridal
David's in Freehold, NJ. I lived in Brooklyn (just moved to Queens) and refused to go to David's in Brooklyn. Went 'for the heck of it' to Freehold (MOH lives there) and fell inlove with my dress. I had some problems with the alterrations department there, but none with the dress. I love my dress!!!My dress

Re: davids bridal
Got my dress (Oleg Cassini collection). It came in in one month--even the sales rep (shout out to Nadine-Carle Place; she rocks!) could not believe how quickly it got there. Also ordered BM dress but knew enough to stay on top of them because when I called 8 weeks after the order was 'placed' it turns out it had not been. They expedited my order and they should be in March 10th. In the meantime ordered my FG dress there. It was scheduled to come in May 8th and I got a call this weekend that it is in.
Just stay on top of em and you should not have a prob. Get confirmation they put the order through!

Me. I just ordered my dress and got it the hell outta there! I wasn't going to let them do alterations. My friend got married in March and had a bad experience with them. She had to have someone fix it at the last minute.
