Davids Bridal

I just had my Bridal Party purchase their dresses at David's Bridal in Carle Place yesterday. I know you get what you pay for but I was not too happy with the service. The dresses are fine and very reasonable so I used them for that reason. I also have 10 girls and they are all different sizes so I thought it would be nice for them to choose the dress they like and I chose the color.
It is a line of dresses called Color Expressions.

I am concerned about the place doing the alterations for the girls.

Has anyone used David's Bridal in Carle Place for alterations and did they have a good or bad experience with them?

Thanks for any help or advice.

You'll get a lot of mixed reviews on here about David's alterations. But I had a wonderful experience with them. I bought my dress there and had them do all the alterations and they did a great job. Everything was perfect with my dress and they were very nice!!

OMG I was there yesterday and that place was like a zoo.
I would rather pull my teeth out with pliers than go there again. Thank goodness we got the dresses and ran like hell.

The alterations are good but the wait...can ya tell I am peeved at them

I used them. The service was not great, but most of my girls did go elsewhere for fittings. I also got my dress from there, and my fittings too. My gown fit perfectly the day of my wedding. I had no problems.

Thanks for all your responses, I appreciate it.

I do have one more question though they don't have a cap on their alterations.
Do you know how much they charge for the alterations? I thought the price for the dresses were
so reasonable but I would feel horrible if they had to spend more on the
alterations then they did on the dress.

Thanks again everyone!!!

Re: Davids Bridal

When I got my dress it needed to be hemmed, sleeves needed to be taken in and the bustle. This all was $200. I did not think anything of it because,

1. They did a great job on it
2. The dress was so reasonable that i did not mind spending the $$

What do the dresses look like, the BM ones. There is a place in Northport that has a 55.00 cap. FM me if you need anything. Thanks!

Re: Davids Bridal

I had alterations done at the Yonkers David's & tt was expensive.
It was I think around $100 or $120 3 years ago.

Almost as much as the dress.
I did have a lot doen though, but that was becaue htey told em to order the 14, even though I tried onteh same & it was big & they had a 12, but said not to even bother trying it on.

It was a 2 piece dress- I had it shortened, the waist taken in, the staps shortened and the sides of the top taken in. And the top never did lay right.

The dresses are all different. They are from a collection called color expressions.
They are very simple and they are all one piece dresses and the material is satin.
