Re: Davids Bridal???????

Make sure when shopping at davids bridal you ask about alterations, my cousin wanted a dress there and it was beautiful .. tule skirt... to finish the edge on the skirt would have been 250.00 then the rest of the alteration and if my memory serves me right she said there was no cap on the alterations...

most replies you get on here will be totally against davids. especially the one in carle place. It is definitely a 'help yourself' type store, you tell them your size, they tell you that you should look one size bigger than that, and steer you toward a rack of dresses. I found a dress there that I liked a lot (I had found it first on their website www.davidsbridal.com ) I was not catered to and the lady was really busy who helped me, but I didn't mind. I will probably go somewhere else for alterations though, because I've heard negative things. I paid $525 for my dress, on sale from $575. Good luck! I'd at least give it a shot, especially if you're on a budget.

If you are looking for an inexpensive dress, try Bridal Suite on 110 in Huntington. They had a decent selection of dresses and almost all of them were under $1000 (majority were about $600). The salesperson I worked with was really nice (I think her name was Joan) but the owner kind of annoyed me.

Re: Davids Bridal???????

i have had a good experience with davids. bought my dress in october when i was visiting my mom in florida. they shipped dress here, i lost 35 pounds, they let me exchange the dress for a completely different dress at the carle place store. also, the bm dresses i chose were discontinued in my color by the time we went to order them. they called the warehouse and reserved the stock left over for me and i got the dresses i wanted. i've heard horror stories about alterations so i am having them done elsewhere. the store is crazy busy on weekends and it is hard to get someone to really help you. but if you can take a day off from work and go on a weekday its much better. if you do go to the one in carle place, ask to see Ana...she's the girl that helped me with exchanging my dress. i hope this helps. good luck!!

My experience with Davids wasn't good. And I think the only one around here is the one in Carle Place. The girls who work there were very rude and kept me waiting so long. They never asked if I needed help until I started picking out my own dresses. Then all of a sudden 3 women were there to tell me that I wasn't allowed to do that. I needed to wait for a sales girl to help. After waiting for 45 minutes for a sales girl I finally walked out. I did call them again thinking maybe I just went on a bad day but my phone experience was just as bad. You may want to check them out for yourself though. Maybe youwill have more luck.

I went to Davids just to go b/c of the the advertising. Well i was disgusted with the one in Carle Place. My friend says the one in brooklyn is even worse! Yuck. I am only going to do this once and I want to be treated like a bride!!
I have visited quite a few salons and so far i was treated the best in Massapequa at Bridal Reflection. I have not yet purchased, but that will problably be the place when I am ready.
