Re: Davids Bridal

Got my BM dresses there. Had a not-so-great, but not-so-bad experience in Carle Place (no one acknowledged us) but a much better experience in Long Island City. We went on a weekday, though in the am in LIC. My BM's are scattered around the East Coast, plus my wedding is about 4 months away, so time is not on my side. Here is what we found:
(this is what the MOH, my sister, will be wearing)

Beautiful dress Melissa!
I got my BP dresses in David's Bridal, and I am quite happy with the experience. Definitely go on a week day, or night time there are less people!

Re: Davids Bridal

I got my dress at David's Bridal but my BM dresses elsewhere. My experience at David's wasnt bad but wasnt good either. As soon as they said my dress was in, I tried it on, then took it home. Had my alterations done elsewhere!!

Thanks Elena!

I was actually very happy with my experience there as well. I went on a Saturday morning, and the girls were very helpful! I bought my dress, and took it home. I may have the alterations done elsewhere (only because I am so far away from the nearest one).

I am also going there in May to look at BM dresses.

I got Nicoles dress at Davids because I needed it quick, I knew I wouldn't have alterations done there because I live too far. The salesgirl sold me the wrong size (too small around her butt) I kept asking the girl if it looked tight & she said it was right, it was a mile too long so it was hard to tell.
I spent $120 on alterations at a seamstress shop, thank god she was able to take the whole dress apart & put it back together to fit right.
I do think Davids is a good source though, the prices are great & if you need stuff in a hurry it's the best. Just be careful.

I've been there often and have had good experiences (except for Etta) I like to be left alone so I guess I'm the wrong judge. I got my dress and I'm getting the BMs dresses there. The experience for my dress was good...we'll see about the BMS (crossing my fingers)
