I ordered my dress last october from David's bridal. It came in very very quickly (we're talking about 1 month later!). I now have my dress (which I look at regularly) in my closet. Has anyone had alterations done my David's Bridal or have they gone someplace different? They told me to call alterations 3 months before the wedding. Does anyone have any recommendations other than DB? Thanks

Re: David's Bridal Alterations
I had mine done at David's Bridal. I got my dress last summer and brought it back to the store in February. My wedding is in April and the dress will be ready for me to wear on 3/21...

Re: David's Bridal Alterations
My friend had her dress altered at Davids and they charged her 650. I went to a local bridal shop and they only charged me 150. I would shop prices

I agree with the above poster....shop around first. Your local seamstress may end up being cheaper

Re: David's Bridal Alterations
I got a quote for a bustle at a bridal shop $125+, David's is charging me $35. Not a hard decision there.

Re: David's Bridal Alterations
I saw the price list from David's it looks reasonable, just as the seamstress how much it would probably cost for your dress, then try other places. There is this woman Phyllis, I think in Northport, I'm sorry I can' t remember the name of the place. But I've heard good and bad things. Most of the bad things come from the woodbury store, not the new one in Lake Grove. HTH
