I have my first 'bridal store' appointment tomorrow.
What should i bring with me? Shoes? What?
And how long does it usually take for the dresses to arrive??
Im completly clueless HELP!!!

The dresses come in real fast to David's. They told me about 3-6 weeks, other places it can take 4 or more months.
They will provide you with all the undergarments you need, including shoes.

It was the only time I haven't worn a thong in years. They put their hands up your dress, just a heads up!
I too brought my own strapless, I didn't have shoes yet so I wore socks. That was it. They really do have everything you need. Have fun shopping!!

Hi, I got my dress at David's Bridal. It is a great store. I went with nothing except pictures of dresses I liked, so no worries if you don't have shoes etc. If you have shoes it is always a good idea to wear a pair, the sales girl actually gave me a pair to put on. Most important is try to mimic the way you would wear your hair so you can see how the dress looks with your hair similar to the way you would wear it on your wedding day. They can give you a bra to try on with your dresses. It took about 6 wks for my dress to come in, then you go back 3 months before your wedding for your first fitting. Good luck

I got my dress from there and they were super great, I went online and printed out the dresses I wanted to try on. I brought socks, and forgot a strapless bra so I used one of theres and ended up loving it ,so I bought one.

when you go there, they show you a catalog, you pick out styles you like and they help you out. you dont need to bring anything. they provide bras and slips and they have shoes as well. i ordered my dress the first week of february they told me i would get it may 30th, i got it almost a month ago. so it took like a month! it was awesome.

I didn't bring anything. I saw it, ordered it, sneezed and it was already in. They called me on my b'day to tell me it was in. I was meant to have this dress.

Its true, anywhere you go to try on wedding dress YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN STRAPLESS BRA. I went to Klienfield and they want me to wear their bra and its NASTY (even the sample dresses are filthy). My mom has to go victoria secret 2 blocks away because of that.

I got my dress at David's and didn't bring anything. I did wear my own strapless, but otherwise, they can provide you everything. You go in and they ask you if you have specific styles in mind and bring out dresses for you. When you try it on, they'll even put a headpiece and veil on you so that you can get the whole picture. And their dresses come in super fast!

It's totally okay to bring a camera there!
I even see people walk around forever in their dresses all over the store modeling, taking pictures all over the place.

Thanks to all who replied... i found my dream dress... i knew it was it after trying on maybe 3. I told my consultant to put the rest of the stuff back because i was done looking.
