Davids Bridal in Long Island City

Has anyone gotten alterations done there? I have heard some horror stories about DB alterations but was wondering if they all were the same. i got my dress at DB in LIC and would like to get it done there.

I'm pretty sure that's the one that I got my dress at. (is there only one in queens?) I spoke to a Greek Lady there (I forgot her name) the day I bought my dress and she sounded very knowledgable. The salesperson wanted me to buy a dress they had in stock because it could be let out but The Greek Lady looked it over and suggested I get a bigger size and gave me all the explanations of why its better to take in then take out and what if I gain weight (which I though would not happen sice I would be trying to lose weight for the wedding) etc.

She just made me feel very comfortable and so when it was time to make my alterations appointment I made sure to make it with her. I will be picking up my dress in a week and a half so I'll let you know her name. Unfortunately I will not be doing major alterations. I say unfortunately because I have apparently gained weight and now fit in the dress!!!!

That was another thing I liked, when I went in my dress was still a little big, but not much. There was so little to take in that she told me it was honestly not even worth it and gave me this other idea with a belt that goes inside. It saved me more than half of the cost of the alteration!!

I can say that Ia bride picking up her dress and she looked beautiful and seemed very happy with the dress.

I got my dress from that location also and I'm doing alterations there. I pick the dress up April 14, and I will def let you know if I have any problems.
