okay so I picked bridesmaids dresses from there. 5 out of my 7 girls already purchased their dresses. the last two don't have money right now. supposedly david's bridal told my moh that the dresses there were very few left. do they do that? do dresses just become discontinued? I'm flipping out now thinking two of my girls won't get dresses. I'm about to ask my mom to lay out money for them since I am totally broke at the moment has anyone heard of this happening at david's bridal?
that's the dress. it is on sale so maybe it is about to become discontinued my girls have known since January! they should have saved money like the rest did. *sighs*

i would definately call them and ask. and yes, dresses do get discontinued, every designer does that some more frequently than others. I don't think it's a David's Bridal issue. Perhaps you can put a down payment on the dresses to hold them? I don't know how David's works

The same thing happened to me. Some of my girls ordered their dress is Dec. then I got a phone call from Davids saying that the rest need to order because the dress is getting discontinued. They ordered it just in time.

Yes, dresses get discontinued, so order them quickly and have your BM pay you or your mother back.

we asked that, they only take full payments. on bridesmaid dresses at least.

No the dress probably is getting discontinued. I would call up & ask because they told me I had another month to order them before they were discontinued. So I would get a time frame.

me and my moh are going there tonight to pick a flower girl dress, we'll ask when we're there. hopefully they give a time frame for us.

Dresses do get discontinued there - my gown was a discontinued model and I ended up getting it for less than half the original price.
I would guess that if it is on sale, it's because it's being discontinued I don't know if they have a lay-away plan - maybe that's an option for your girls?

Yes-they do discontinue dresses, so you should get your last two BM's to order theirs. Call up David's Bridal and ask if they can give you a time frame also.

same thing happened to me. i found bm dresses i loved and they became discontinued. everyone but my aunt got hers in time. my aunt had to call a couple of stores out of state that had one in her size (off the rack) and had to pay for shipping. just to be safe, i'd ask to borrow the money

def. lay out the money (or your mom's money) to get these last 2 dresses. Being the daughter of an attorney I would ask your friends to just sign a letter stating they will pay your mom back by x date. For you own & your mom's safety!

It is possible that they are being discontinued. I just got an e-mail from the the other day (even though I've unsubscribed more than once ) saying that the fall line is coming out in a week or two, and that's the time most places do their discontinuing. Call them & ask, but it's definately a good idea to have them order ASAP.
