David's Bridal Question

Does David's Bridal store your dress for you? I'm afraid if I find a dress they won't store it and I have no where to store if for over a year

TIA

Re: David's Bridal Question

unfortunately no they won't.. u have to pick it up when its in and then you can bring it back for alterations later if you go through them. I know this is for the bm dresses but i think my friend who bought her dress there had to pick it up as well...

My dress place, Helen's Bridal in Commack, will store your dress for sure i know. Mine is being shipped 11/15 and I don't have to do alterations til June and they are holding it for me til the wedding in July . HTH!!!!

The only thing with that is that I live in Queens...Commack is a trip for me

I'll probably try Lillette's or someplace like that

Hi Vanessa - David's won't store your dress. Did you try Bridal Reflections (there's one in Carle Place) which isn't too far out on LI for you.

I have my dress at David's Bridal. I went to the store in Westbury. I was told my dress can stay in the store up until 6 months before my wedding. I'm going to pick it up and then have it altered somewhere else.

Re: David's Bridal Question

Gina I am really starting to look in December when I have a few days vacation..I really want to stay under 1800-2000 (including alterations)

Since I saw some dresses on DB website that looked nice it was a thought

But I am now trying to just make a list of places that aren't too far from home but have a nice size selection

I got my dress from Bridal Reflections and was in that price range when all was said and done - so I wouldn't be too concerned - it can be done!

Re: David's Bridal Question

David's bridal had great prices for dresses, but unfortunately they are not know for their customer service. If you like a dress there, you could always wait to order it so it comes in closer to your wedding. Also you might be surprised at the price point of other dress shops prices.

Re: David's Bridal Question

I got mine back in March from the Westbury Store. It has been hanging at my parents house since then. Went for my 1st fitting yesterday and they said that I need to pick it up once the alterations are done and make another appt. right before the wedding so that they can steam it and press it.

It's kind of annoying, but really not that bad. I kinda like knowing where it is.
