my BP went to the store in Brooklyn and ordered them, no problems at all. Alterations were not done there. I got my dress from David's in Tampa, no problems at all.

I thought the service at Carle Place was awful. I looked there for a gown, didn't go with them, and recently got a BM dress there for another wedding and they made me wait for 40 mins., standing there with my credit card in hand (ready to pay), while the 6 workers ate lunch and chatted.

Although there prices are great, I got my bridesmaid gowns there, I had a lot of problems with their service. They were very disorganized.

I bought my MOH dress and my dress at David's in Carle Place. They do have very nice dresses there and the prices can't be beat! They do alot more business there than they are staffed for which is why they don't score well on the service scale. Personally, I can't complain too much - our dresses came in 2 months early and although my original MOH dress was 'lost', they promptly re-ordered it for me and it is now safe and sound in my bedroom.

BTW: My bridal consultant at David's told me they are relocating to a bigger space very soon; near Fortunoff's in Westbury. Hopefully that should help their customer service issues.

yes, i went to davids in westbury. dresses are goregoes (got mine there too), reasonable prices, but yes, they are disorganized. the first time i went, to gt my dress, the woman i got was outstandiing. but since then having to go back to order/pick up dresses ... theres always been someone else helping who has no clue.

I got my dress from them. If you are looking for alot of attention when you are trying on dresses, don't go there. I liked them because I personally didn't want someone with me the whole time. I got my dress for $350 and I loved it. Also, try not to go on a weekend, they are mobbed!

my moh got her gown at DB and although the gown is beautiful...it came too quickly when they said it would take approx 12 weeks it took like two and SHE HAD to pick up- her parents were in the middle of moving and she lives with FH sooo she said she couldnt pick it up until whatever date they gave her an attitude...but kept it anyway

ALSO, when we were looking there - it was very early for her to get a gown- and the lady helping her was PUSHING HER SOOO MUCH!

we asked to work with a different lady-
she did wind up falling in love with a gown and bought it even though it was early...

I went to David's Bridal in Queens (Long Island City). I bought my wedding dress in January. Since my wedding is in July, the saleslady ordered a brand new dress from their warehouse and it arrived mid-march. The dress is brand-new. I have no complaints.

As far as customer service goes, I was happy with the lady that helped me. I went there on a tuesday afternoon (~3:00 pm). I tried on 7 dresses and fell in love with dress #7 (style ct2406). I told the lady I needed to shop around some more, and she wasn't pushy.

After going to three full service bridal salons and trying on at least 25 more gowns, I went back to David's bridal and ordered my dress.

Word of advice: do not purchase shoes, tiaras, veils or any other accessory you will find less expensive anywhere else. I guess that's how David's makes their money.

I bought my dress at the Long Island City location. The lady helping me was pretty nice, and I had a good experience. And I LOVE my dress!

HOWEVER...When I went to pick it up, I was totally ignored. I wanted to try it on, and no one helped me. They saw FMIL and I struggling to get it out and on my body and STILL didn't help. Every so often, a sales lady would pass by and mention that I needed a garment bag. I figure once they get your $, they don't give a crap about you anymore. So I will not be getting my alterations doen there.

I think David's is good for saving $, but not much else.

Edited for spelling

Went dress shopping on a tuesday afternoon. I still had to wait 45 minutes to try on dresses. The prices are great, the service is horrible.
