I went to davids bridal tonight to look at bridal accesories and asked them to pull the paper work on the BM dreesses and MOH dress, and they told me they THREW IT OUT becuase it was over 30 days since I was last in the store. The manager told me it is there policy to do this and the workers they had there a few months ago did not know what they were doing so they bought in new managers. I am so glad I did not order the dresses yet and glad that I got my wedding gown in another store. I am also very aggravated with there new policy. They had no qulams about this and I was like, too bad they just lost a big sale. The manager also told me since she came in that a lot of people have been screaming at here, etc. I am so glad I did not use them for any of the bridesmaids dresses or place an order there! UGH!

Sorry that happened to you, I had no problem there with my FG dress or any accesories. They have been nothing but nice to me.

Princess99 - which store? Carle Place? I had a lot of aggrivation with them from a wedding I was in last November. I told them flat out that I was a soon to be bride, and I would NEVER, NEVER buy my Bridal gown or my BM dresses there.

I was really unhappy with the service I got from the Carle Place store. I ordered my dress and as soon as it came in, I ran to pick it up and never looked back. I'm sorry about your experience - hopefully you can find somewhere else to go.

I also was in a wedding on 3/22 where we had to get our BM dresses there, and there was nothing but problems for us too. I had posted about it before, how they tried to charge me an extra $30 just because I hadnt brought my dress in for alterations at least a month ahead (we didnt even have the dresses a month). Needless to say, I walked my butt out of there. I have not heard anyone say they had a good experience at the carle place store. I dont know how that place is still in business.

It was the Carle Place store. My FH I thought was going to tell me to relax , but he was PISSED to no end, and we are both such laid back people! Now, I am on a search for a dress that looks like the one I picked out.(I thought by finding the style I liked that I was home free!) I have no idea how they stay in business either. I was waiting for a salesgirl forever to look at wraps, it took 3 salesgirls to even help me, and then what they showed me looked like crap, such poor quality etc. I am going to do a search and see if they have any complaints against them with the BBB.

Luckily, I've been to Carle Place and have good experiences. My dress was no problem and we are now waiting for the BMs dresses to come in....so stay tuned..........
And I am not having altereations done there.

They forgot to order my bridesmaid dresses even though I called them constantly about obtaining the order form. Then they ordered the wrong dress! I really think that it's just the Carle Place store. They didn't even apologize for the mix up.
I posted the customer service number of their corporate headquarters a couple of weeks ago if you want to call them. They were very helpful and I got my bridesmaid dresses in 2 weeks.

If you are willing to travel, I think you'll do much better at David's Long Island City, Queens location. They're much more organized & helpful. Had I found a dress I really liked I would've used them. BUt I'd understand if you wanted to completely stay away from the chain all together. After a visit to the Carle Place store I knew we'd never order from that location! Good luck onyour dress search!
