Re: davids bridal?Anyone?
for bridal gowns or MOB gowns?
my grandma found a pretty dress there for my brothers wedding and since it was October she wanted a Jacket to go on top, she found a dress that had the little jacket too, she looked so cute in it and it was about $250 -- she was happy with their service and the dress

I went there this past weekend. I didn't have a good experience at all. They absolutely had no clue...this was the one in Lake Grove.

I went to the one in The Source in Westbury. I had an alright experience. The one complaint I had was the fast paced atmosphere. I felt rushed into trying on a million gowns. I left that place feeling tired. The lady that helped me was helpful and very nice. However, I do suggest looking at other shops other than David's just to see what is out there. But, you may find something at David's that you love!

My mom found a dress that she loves and really gets obsessed with something that is all she has her eyes on (kind alike a horse when they put those eye focus pads on them)
So davids bridal is definitely where we are heading for that... But maybe with her picking which one she wants and going in there looking for just that is better? lol I hope this works out...
So...so far no good davids bridals grr

You really can't go on a weekend. I went to the one in Westbury on a Tuesday night and had a pleasant experience. If you are trying on dresses, it's best to bring someone who is willing to help you try them on, and know what you want to look at. I looked on line first, and made a list, and gave it to the girl who helped me, and she brought me almost every dress that was on my list. The one's that she didn't bring, they didn't have in that store. I think some girls have higher expectations from David's then they should. You cannot compare a store like Helen's or Village Bridal to David's. There is a reason their dresses are cheaper, they are not a bridal 'Boutique', they are a store. If you want the personalized service, then I would stick to a boutique.

Re: davids bridal?Anyone?
My mom actually ended up getting her dress at davids bridal in the Source. We went on a weekday so it wasnt near as busy as it was on a weekend. We had no complaints. The customer service was pretty good,,,,I know I have heard nightmares about them. I got my dress there also and had no complaints.

Re: davids bridal?Anyone?
I've been to David's in Westbury and in Lake Grove and I had two totally different experiences. In Westbury the woman that had helped me started out nice enough, but then it seemed like she got bored. She never gave me any veils or tiaras to try on, then she stopped helping me all together to help another bride. That really pi$$ed me off. On the flip side, I went to Lake Grove and the girl that helped me was named Melissa and she was a total sweetheart. She totally indugled me, let me try on anything that I wanted, gave me veils and tiaras and constantly told me that I looked gorgeous. LOL. She gave me alot of attention and was always there when I was looking for her. Night and day experiences at both of these locations.

Central Ave in Westchester isn't on LI, they are in Westchester off of the Bronx River Parkway, past the Bronx.

I felt the same way when I was there a few weeks ago. They were nice, but they really had no idea what they were doing. I feel like they were just trying to make a sale. The girl who was helping me was pretty much trying to pressure me into buying a dress on the spot. She gave me a spiel that there are only 2 of this dress left and no other Davids Bridal would have it and the designer is getting discontinued, etc.
