so i had too many issues with them to even bother with a history right now...but long story short, they NEVER had my phone number right EVER. but today i get a call from some girl confirming my alterations appt. for saturday (that i've forgotten to cancel ) i told her i would sooo be there...i soooo am not. i think i'll call ON saturday to cancel like 5 minutes before i'm supposed to be there. jerks....all this time later, they get my # right????

ug, I went there JUST to try on dresses, and made the mistake of giving them my contact info without really thinking about it, and now I keep getting call after call and mailing after mailing from them and their related vendors! I think I've gotten like 3 mailings now from AfterHours formal wear...
I wish they HADN'T gotten my number right!

i got my dress and veil there and had no problems either...i won't be getting my BM dresses there though..rather not take a chance..and i found something really nice and decently priced at a department store anyway...but i'm really sorry you've all had such negative experiences with them

I liked the dresses. I bought my dress and my BM dresses there. Along with my veil and tiara. What a saga with alterations though. And most of all their customer service is horrible.

I can write a horror story novel about those people. I live in Westchester and went to the one here. For starters, they lost my dressed (translation: sold it to someone else). Then they claimed that I was lying and picked it up. I demanded to see the signature and then they realized they were wrong when they couldn't produce one. The day I went there to pick out the BM' s dresses, we asked our 'consultant' if a particular dress came in Peridot. Her response 'I don't know, go home on the internet and find out and let me know tomorrow'. They lost my sisters shoes 2 weeks before the wedding, dyed a new pair, THE WRONG COLOR! 2 days before the wedding, she went back and they redid them.
1 week before the wedding, my BM went to pick up her gown (she is 100 lbs soaking wet). They took in her dress too much, then told her 'you must have gotten fat' 3 times. There was a pull in the front of the gown and the hem was wrong. I called and demanded a new dress be overnighted.
They are my biggest nightmare! I ended up returning my 'lost' gown and going to Meme's in Larchmont and I bought a Maggie Sottero instead.

If anyone can understand the frustrations of dealing with davids bridal it is me. I am going to today to pick up my dress for the 3rd time and I am praying that it is new and that there are no problems. It seems to be the opposite with me and my number because they have not ever called me to tell my about my dress being in!!!

I second that, I had to call them on like 4 seperate occassions. I felt stupid calling everyday, but they don't ever call to let you know the stuff is in!

There dresses are good for the price (I know because I got my dress and girls dresses there), but they are very understaffed and very incompetant. For me it was worth the money though...PS. I am getting my alterations done somewhere else.

you have the good and bad at any salon. my sister got her dress at the david's bridal in nj. there alterations stink. i had to go 4 times for them to fix my dress for her wedding
