Day after help..

Day after help..

I have a lot of family coming in from out of town that I don't get to see often. FH & I thought we'd invite the OOT family over for a BBQ the day after the wedding.

I want to include this information for those OOT guests... what do you think of this so far..

Family & friends traveling out of state please join us the day after Shannon & JR’s wedding
for a After the Wedding BBQ
On Friday, August 19th, 2011
at 1pm

At the home of Shannon and JR XXX

thoughts? I'm open to suggestions

FYI some people think i'm crazy for hosting a BBQ the day AFTER the weddig but FYI - i'm putting all the work on my mom and aunt.

I wasn't going to make out of town bags.. I was going to put al ittle extra card in the OOT invites. I don't want them coming and either thinking they have nothing to do or plan other things instead so I wanted to give them a heads up to the BBQ.

Does the wording I have sound OK?

sorry, i'm totally grammar police.

I also think you're insane for doing that...my mom's doing a morning after brunch at the hotel. we'll be on the plane to aruba, so I could care less.

my mom is also sending a separate invitation to all the oot guests before the wedding announcing it separately from the invitation.

Looks good!!

Also, just a thought -- my friend did this at her house and she had the RH wrap up the left overs from the CH because she had so much food and the RH was going to throw it all away.. it may be something you want to consider to add to the food planned for the BBQ.
