Day after hotel breakfast?

Need some advice. My hotel does not offer a complimentary breakfast for guests. They have a buffet for $16.95. Do FH and I need to pay for guests breakfast?? Any advice welcomed!

Re: Day after hotel breakfast?

I don't think you do. The hotel at my cousin's wedding didn't offer complimentary so we all just paid for our own. It's a nice gesture but not necessary.

I think you and I are using the same hotel... I was going to call the hotel this week and see if I could rent like a conference room from them or something for a few hours and bring food in.. might work out cheaper than paying for everyone who stays...

Day after hotel breakfast? - Long Island Weddings

We're having a private brunch at the hotel the morning after the wedding. I don't think it's necessary, however, I do think it's a nice gesture to provide the overnight guests with some type of breakfast, even if it's some bagels and muffins in the lobby.

What hotel are you using? Might be the same as us. Fh parents were going to pay for whoever stayed over but now im not so sure. Fh and i would love to but we are paying for the wedding ourselves and we need to cut costs somewhere. I was just happy the place offered our guests something and there is a 711 across the street if anything. PS. FH are proving hotels bags and will add some snacks as well.

Day after hotel breakfast? - Long Island Weddings

From my experiences almost every hotel I've stayed at for a wedding, the bride and groom hosted a breakfast in the conference room. So, When we looked at hotels some places wanted $28 or $32 per person. I almost had a heart attack b/c we have many OOT guests. We finally found a hotel that gives a complimentary breakfast so I'm totally fine with that!! Honestly, weddings are so expensive, I wouldn't worry about providing a breakfast!

My fiancé says no but I dunno how I feel! I thought most places gave complimentary, but this one doesn't. Staying at Upsky in Hauppauge (used to be Sheraton).

Day after hotel breakfast? - Long Island Weddings

We are not doing a breakfast the next morning. I don't want to get up and entertain the next morning. We're going to be exhausted and we will have a lot to do because we are leaving the day after that for our honeymoon.

Day after hotel breakfast? - Long Island Weddings

I dont think it is necessary but we are hosting a post nuptual breakfast. I think it is a nice gesture for the guests that spent the money to stay over in the hotel. Our hotel charges $20.95 for a private buffet in a private room.

cant you have the hotel build it into the price of the rooms before you tell anyone the room cost?

Day after hotel breakfast? - Long Island Weddings

We're not hosting a breakfast. There's a bagel boss down the road so we might work out something with them and bring in bagels and coffee, but we're not going to rent out the conference room and pay pp to host a breakfast.

ETA: My hotel doesn't provide complimentary breakfast.

hampton inn. we wanted to reserve the meeting room for breakfast but it was already booked, so basically we put a time to 'meet' us in the lobby for breakfast on the brochure we are giving hotel guests
