Day Brides - Do you worry about...

People not dancing? I just have this fear because the place won't look like a night club that people won't be in the mood to dance :( Am I crazy?

Im not a day bride but I wouldnt worry about it too much, people will dance regardless of day or night and those that dont dance probably dont dance anyway.

Nothing to worry about-just enjoy it

I'm a day bride, and I have the most non-night clubbish of venues. Outdoors under a tent in a vineyard.

I don't' think it matters, I can just see them all dancing to their favorite songs no matter where they are, and if they've drunk enough.

What ever you do, don't cut out the bar!

I had a day wedding. The dance floor was packed the entire time. As long as the band or DJ is good, people will dance.

if there's music they like...they will dance! I had an outdoor tent wedding at 3pm & people danced!

I have to admit the thought has crossed my mind...but I think it will be fine. People that like to dance will dance if they've had enough to drink and the music and the DJ/MC is good. I am making sure that there is a good mix of all types of music too.

I am not a day bride but I do have a fear of an empty dance floor. Not because of the time of day, but because it will be August and I don't want half of the guests being outside getting air. Hopefully the hall will be cool enough inside so this doesn't happen.

i was a day wedding and the fllor was packed. don't worry about it... a good band or DJ will get everyone up there... trust me.

I'm not worried at all. I think when people go to weddings they expect to dance- no matter what the time of day! Plus the alcohol will only help them out

I honestly was worried a bit that the wedding wouldnt have the feel i was going for, so i opted for the night time.

Not at all -- I've been to many daytime events and people danced just as much. It depends on the band/dj and the people there --- fun people with good music will dance any time! especially with an open bar

instead, i choose to worry about the weather

our wedding was over by 5 pm---and our dance floor was always full!! its allll about the music and atmosphere...our guests were having a great time and our dj was beyond amazing.

i am not worried about it - i wanted a day wedding because we are having our reception at VYC with those beautiful views of the bay - i wanted everyone to be able to take in the scenery - but i dont have any fear about people not dancing - as long as the DJ is good and the drinks are flowing we will all have a blast

People will dance no matter what time. My ceremony was at 12:00 with a 12:30 cocktail hour and the reception started at 1:30 and the dance floor was full most of the time.

I already threatened people that they better be on the dance floor so I think I am covered

i JUST got home from a wedding and i have to say that im a bit tippsy and there were TONS of people on the dance floor the whole time! (reception was from 1-6)

Our dance floor was PACKED the whole time!!!

I think a lot depends on the DJ, the music, and whether or not the bride and groom and bridal party are up and dancing.

Definitely do not worry! A party is a party regardless of time of day. If there is a dance floor, music, and people who like to dance...people WILL dance!!!

it was still bright out at the start of my reception and they started out pretty slow on the dance floor ( i had a smaller wedding- 50 ppl which i think contributed to that) but eventually everyone was up and dancing! dont waste time worrying about it. have them play great music and once ppl hit the bar, they wanna get up and dance the night away lol.
