Does anyone know a great Day of Coordinator? Do you think this is really necessary? How much $$ do they run? I think with my mom, moh, and friends and family we can handle whatever comes up. Part of me would like someone else who was there to be on the ball. The hall gives me a bridal attendant. So I am torn?

Re: Day Of ?
IMO I think it would be alot of $ for something that is not really necessary.. but if it gives you peace of mind then go for it.
Look under vendors on here and check out the coordinators, I dont know of one personally.

You can get a DOC in the range of $500-700. You do get a bridal attendant and maitre'd but remember they only deal with stuff at the RH. At the church they wont do anything. So a DOC goes over your ceremony, gets to the church to make sure everything is fine. Gets there early to make sure all the right flowers got there and everything goes where it has to be.
I don't think its something you HAVE to get. For me it was the right thing in my mind. I didn't want my bp or family to deal with anything that day. I wanted them to enjoy the day just as much as me and if anything did go wrong, didn't want them to have the stress of it either. Plus some things they might not know how to handle. I didnt really have things go wrong but other ladies, the wrong limo showed up or late and DOC's are used to dealing with vendors and knows how to handle them. She also met with you weeks before the wedding and helped me out. I was running out of time and she did my menu's and even brought them to the Rh herself so i didnt even have to do it. She went over ceremony with me and what to do and gave me suggestions for some things i wasnt sure about. She would email me asking me if i needed any help with anything. Your DOC can also make all your final payments for you. I ended up doing it myself but i wish i let her do it when she asked. I had so much running around to do and so many vendors to pay the final payments that if i gave her that task like she asked, would've made my life easier.
She also did the timeline for me, which was different than I had and thank god lol. Her timeline was so detailed and perfect. Exactly what time I start hair, and make up and also my mom and MOH. With her timeline we were all ready a little early and didnt rush at all. My morning of was so relaxed and laid back. Then for limo's we even got downstairs a little early to wait. Got to church on time, then with pics we had LOTS of time and didn't rush through them at all and got all the pics we needed which is good bc i seem some brides who have to take some pics during the reception and are pulled out. We even got to RH about 30-40 mins early and were able to relax in the bridal suite before CH started.
Also after the ceremony my cousins bf(she was a bm) got into a small car accident, and my DOC took my cousin to get her bf, he was fine though and then drove her back to where we were taking pics.
I was completely care free that day bc i knew she was there. I didn't think of anything as far as did everything arrive where it should, and well some flowers were brought to me that were supposed to go to the church instead and she went early to bring it to the church along with RB pillow and other stuff i still had at my house that should've been at the church, like program basket and those type of stuff lol so thank god. But when asked about certain stuff i just thought, well thats why I have a DOC, she will handle it if anything.
