Day of Coordinator- what to do

Ok ladies!

I was debating between 2 DOC.
1- Was Highly reccommended and pulled off an amazing wedding @ Oheka.
-they speak Italian which is a+ to convo w my mom
-they are very profesh and had inc follow up
-they are $$$ and require I get them a hotel room
-love seeing all the weddings they coordinated. They are like JLO in the movie

2- was blogging about my photog and I thought they worked w each other so I contacted her (they didn't wk together) and she is starting up her biz
-she is very afforable
-1st meeting she was 15 min late (she text me she would be) and she went to the wrong meeting location in a diff city!
-2nd meeting hasn't happened!!! I emailed to make it 4 ealry last Sat, and she couldn't make it bc 'something came up'. I had to resced another appt. Now, 5 min before meeting she gets flat tire. Wants to meet friday (I won't be around!)
-her reccomendations were not for weddings

What do I do? Who do I go with??

#1 - you don't want to worry about a THING the day of. Even if she's a lot of money, it seems like #2 is already not performing well

yikes. i would not go with option 2. i don't know about DOCs so i don't know how odd the hotel request. i would either go with option 1 or keep looking.

If you can swing it, moneywise, I'd go with the first. It sounds like thats the one you really want, but money is the biggest issue. Can you budget her in?

Thanks for your opinions. Now I have to tell # 2 I don't wanna use her after I said that I did. I really feel bad but arrgh!!!!
#1 is double the cost of #1. Some planners do req you get them a hotel.

try looking around more I bet you can find one that can do mostly more of what you want for the price you are looking at. Most do not require a hotel especially if they are from LI. If you really want a DOC keep looking dont settle if you dont feel either option is right for you. Remember this person is going to be with you 99% of the day.

I would go with #1, even though it's more $$$ you dont want to have to worry about anything on your day.

definitely #1 if its within your budget, youre getting a doc so you dont have to worry abot stuff but you dont wanna worry about her either lol

More big thanks for your advice ladies. This is something that I was stressing about. I am going to have to say something to #2.
See my venue is in Westchester and half of my vendors are there and the other half in LI.
#2 lives in Westchester and #1 is in Jersey.
I know I sould be looking around some more BUT I really want to be secured, I don't have time! That's why I need to have a DOC!!

Oh dear, I would def not go with number two...that sounds like a fiasco waiting to happen.

Honestly? If #1 isn't in your budget, keep looking. I'm sure you can find someone in your budget that won't be as horrendous as #2 sounds.
