Day Of Makeup

Hi Ladies, Happy Thursday :)
Has anyone booked their makeup yet? I have a trial this weekend with a girl that I met at the Wedding Salon event. She works for Metamorphosis, which I have heard good things about, though no reviews about her specifically. She is coming to my parent's house before my engagement party this weekend for the trial (win!) and is charging $100, which seems reasonable. However, she emailed me her pricing and the day-of bridal makeup is $275. This seems like a lot, but I don't have anything to compare it to. Would anyone mind sharing how much they were quoted? Sorry for the novel!!! :)

That does seem like alot! I've seen bridal makeup anywhere from $125-$175. But I do think hair & makeup are very important since you want to look flawless on the day of your wedding. So if she does an amazingg job, she may be worth it. If you think it's just okay or average, maybe you can shop around.

I got that same pricing sheet from Metamorphosis at the bridal showcase yesterday too! Honestly I thought it was a crazy price.
I haven't booked my hair or make up yet but I have recently started researching it. For comparison the place that I get my hair done charges $105 for airbrush make up and $95 for regular make up. I have also researched a few places that I have seen girls mention on this site and they all seem to be around $100-125 for day of makeup and something like $40-60 for a trial.
When the Metamorphosis girl said $275 I said just for makeup? I was hoping to spend that on hair AND makeup haha

That is definitely pricey!! I would decide now if you can fit it into your budget before the trial. You don't wanna pay for a trial only not to be able to use them day of and then you have to pay for another trial.

ugh i know the girl I like charges 350 for her services! so i have been on the hunt for someone good for more then half that cost! im doing a trial with oksana for my next trial who charges $100 for day of makeup

Metamorphosis is expensive from what I've seen, but they do offer some pretty cool packages (like literally having someone on hand all day to touch up your makeup!) Way out of my price range but would be cool if I could afford it.

I woke up this morning it was still on! lol

Here is breakdown on cost:

Trial is 100.00
BUT IT COMES OUT OF THE TOTAL DUE FOR WEDDING MAKEUP.
when you book she takes a 100.00 deposit

So.. 400.00 for bridal day of AND one bridesmaid/MOH minus the trial price = 300.00 minus the deposit = 200.00 on wedding day for Bride and one other Person.
then its 85.00 per bridesmaid

So i am having myself and 3 bridesmaids so total is:

400.00 Bride and MOH and Trial
255.00 for 3 bridesmaids
total 655.00 for everyone however - the 100 for trial is 555.00 for bride and 4 girls .

now i booked my trial before and got a different price and since i am in the winter i got the price of Bride and 4 girls and false lashes for 400.00 total - 100 for trial so only 300.00 for everyones day of.

she is a great girl and will negotiate

If I remember correctly when I spoke to them at a show they stay with you for touch ups..could be why its higher priced then others

I'm using Kim Castro from Bedford and Mane for hair and she also does makeup. I had already found makeup before I booked her for hair, but she charges $40 for regular and $60 for airbrush.
