Day-of Morning Timing EDIT WITH MY FINAL DECISION. Sound good?
Ceremony and Reception are at the same place.
Ceremony starts at 1:00pm and my hair and make-up people are doing me and my 8 BMs at the place.
I want to take pics w/ hubby before the ceremony.
What time do I tell the Hair/Make-up people, photographer, and bridesmaids to get to the country club the morning of? 10AM?
ETA: So, the country club is an hour away from where I live in Long Island. So, we'll leave at 545A (the car will be packed and we'll all be ready), get there at 645A - that's when I'll have all hair/makeup people get there, start hair/make-up from then until 11A...photog can come 1030A, pics w/ FH from 11A-12P, and we can take any additional pics right at the beginning of the cocktail hour if we had to.
Thanks so much for your opinions, everyone!

I would say earlier.... my MOH just got married adn we had 5 girls to get their hair and makeup done and hair person was there at 7 to set our hair and the church was at 3.....You want to be totally done an hour to an hour and half before your ceremony if you are taking pics before hand.... ask you hair and makeup people because they know what kind of time they need....but I would def. say earlier than 10....each girl usually needs an hour for hair and makeup if not a little longer each girl

Hey!!
I think its going to take a lot longer than you realize. My friend had the hairdresser come to her and it took 2.5 hrs to do all 5 of us and her.
I know I will sound crazy, but I would suggest 8. At least then, worst case, they are out at 11 and you can take pics from 11-1230

We left the hotel to take pics shortly before noon and makeup and hair were pretty much finished by 11:15. We started right around 9:15 or so and there were only 3 of us. We had one hair person and one makeup person.

I think you need to consider starting earlier- I would say around 7:30 or 8. How many people are you having to do the hair and make up?

Re: Day-of Morning Timing - What's your opinion?
sorry but I think WAY earlier. There are ALOT of girls and take longer than you think. Just for you will take 1 hour for hair and one hour for make up. Are you having one person do make up and another do hair right? not that you have 1 person doing both? The way I did it was just me, my mo and MOH who had hair and make up done at my house the morning of. It took 3 hours for just 3 of us, normally 2 hours per person but since one got hair while one got make up that cut time to half so instead of 6 hours was 3. Started at 10am and finished at 1pm, maybe a little bit before 1pm actually and thats only bc my mom didnt do an updo or curls, so her hair took less time. If you have a separate make up artist an hair stylist then while one gets hair done another gets make up done. Uhmmm with 8 girls wow depending on what you all get done. If its hairstyles that dont take THAT LONG then maybe will be easier. I would say you need about 6 hours to play it safe, so i say between 7am or 8am, and i was thinking at first that you have until 1pm but if ceremony starts at 1pm then you need to be done a bit before that so maybe even earlier. Unless you hire someone separate to do just your bm's.
ETA: but wait you said you want to take pics too, what time do you plan on taking pics, like 11am-11:30am? Then yeah definitely earlier bc i was thinking from 1pm to be ready but you need to be ready way earlier for pics. If you start at 10am, thats barely time for just you to be ready for pics, like i said will take 2 hours for you, if you started at 10am you wouldnt be done until noon. I would email or call your hair and make up artists and ask them around what time they want to start, they will give you a better idea. But if you want to be ready by 11am-11:30am for pics, might be like 5-6am

It depends on how many people you have doing hair/make-up. I have one girl doing hair and one make-up and I think 10 girls + me getting it done at my house, I think we might start at like 9 the latest and my photographer isnt coming 4 bc we have a 5:30 church down the block from my house.

This is perfect!! Exactly what I wanted to know. I really appreciate all your thought! I will run this idea by my hair person and make-up person (2 different people) and the photographer!

Pics will be taken around 11AM-12PM, then we'll have a 1 hour 'buffer' or break until the ceremony...so we'll do it all starting at 6am at the Country Club

you're welcome, definitely talk to your hair and make up artists bc only they will know best how fast they can work some are faster than others. For you though i am sure they'll say an hour for each hair and make up but for bm's they might be able to do quicker. For example lets say somebody is just doing something very simple and wont take alot then it can be 30 mins instead of an hour so cuts down on time and maybe this will apply to a few girls. If you want to take pics at 11am, then i think they will say about 5-6am. Don't worry, i am sure they'll tell you exactly how long they'll need, they are the ones who do this almost every week and have most likely done 9 ppl before and they can tell you how long it took for them to do 9 people.

I def think wayyyyy earlier. If you have them come at 10 and your ceremony is at 1 that's only 3 hours... and you want to take pics before the ceremony so you will need at leat an hour to an hour and a half.... that only leaves you with an hour and a half to get 8 girls plus yourself ready??? I would say around 7 am to have hair and make-up and the girls come. then have your photographer come at like 1130.
