day of pics

Ok so we are having our ceremony at the RH only bc we have a sunday day wedding so we can't get married in a church like we both wanted to. So the photographer says that pics can be done before hand me with the girls him with the guys and if we wanted pics of me and him before the ceremony,
BUT I dont want us to see eachother to me its bad enough we aren't getting married in a church. some people are not understaing why I want to do it this way and think its easier to get it 'out of the way'
It really is the one and only thing I WANT and I am really not like that about anything else.

Do you think I am crazy?
Should I give in?
I hate seeming like a brat...

I don't think that you are crazy for not wanting to see him beforehand

If you get most of your other pictures done before the ceremony, you won't be spending too much time taking pictures after then, it will be mainly just be you and him and if you want you could still be able to attend your cocktail hour

its all up to you and what you want to do

we are seeing each other before because we want to have just about all the pictures done before the ceremony so we can attend the cocktail hour, we don't want to miss parts of our wedding

my FW and I are seeing each other before the ceremony. at first i hated the idea... but when you reallythink about it... we are ALL paying a lot of money fro our weddings. and our cocktail hour begins right after the ceremony ends. we dont wanna miss anything about our wedding because we had to go take pics.

we are taking pics for a good 2-3 hours BEFORE the ceremony so that we dont have to worry about missing anything.

it's a personal choice. i dont think you're being a brat like you said...

I would never take pics with him before the wedding and he would kill me if he saw me before, prob cancel the whole wedding and reschedule ! i knowive said it 100 times, but were both so superstitious and we also want to keep our wedding traditional, so i dont think your crazy at all.... i personally wouldnt give in

the whole exciting part is for him to see you in your gown for the 1st time when your walking toward him down the isle

we are seeing each other before the ceremony so we can take advantage of the grounds in the daylight and so we can enjoy our cocktail hour.

However, I don't think your crazy at all. Part of me kinda of wants to wait until the ceremony to see each other...its just tradition and it makes it more dramatic when you first see each other.

if you really don't want to see each other before then def don't compromise that!

ITA....if you can arrange it to be after the ceremony, and that is what you really want than you should do it. The flip side like someone mentioned is that you may miss part of the CH...so there are pros and cons to both

You are NOT crazy. I am doing the same thing. I do NOT like the idea of seeing FH before the ceremony. Call me superstitious, say I'm crazy. I don't care. It is important to me.

So, we are doing the exact same thing. Pics with my girls, pics with his guys, then family pics and pics of me and him after. Do what you want, it is your day!

Thanks guys...thats the thing It's not the I dont agree with seeing eachother I just want him to be like when he sees me for the first time walking towards him...The whole CH thing I know ***** but we might extend it by a half hour...which we dont have too many extras so this might be one we are undecided tho. Our CH room is soooo pretty and we have the outside a cigar roller (the only real extra we have) I want to enjoy that too....torn torn torn
but Im glad you guys make me feel not crazy!
one of the photographers we met with at the showcase was like well why dont you want to see him?? and was waiting for a better answer then ' I just dont'
I felt so stupid....But im over it haha

FYI - If you really want to get married in a church, i know there are some Churches that do Sunday weddings. But they are late afternoon (3pm-ish). I rememberr that from when I was searching high and low for churches on LI to call me back! :)
