Day Of Question

So, our ceremony is at 6:30pm....when I had my trial this weekend, Kacey said I should be ready by 2. My photographer said ready and at The Riviera by 3pm. We're doing pictures before but holy crap, I'm going to look like crap by 6:30pm!!!!!!!!!!!

I really don't want to be ready that early...my dress weighs a ton....I'll be sweaty and ugly by then!!!!

Do you guys think 2 or 3pm is really early? Or is this normal?

I am going to look beast by my ceremony....

Re: Day Of Question

I have the same fears.

I think 2 is fine, and I think you'll still look just as good at 6:30 as you did at 2.

It'll be February, and freezing, so you can always stand outside if you get hot. (That's my plan).

I'll be outside with frozen sweat on me....

I am going to be anxious and sweaty...and with my dad not being there I know I'll be crying...I'm really afraid I'll look like balls at my ceremony...

Re: Day Of Question

Definitely tell the makeup girl all of this.

You'll be FINE. Trust me. They prepare for crying!

Have you ever seen someones pics where they look like sh1t after they were crying? I know I haven't!

As long as you tell the makeup girl that you will be crying, and hot, she should be able to do your makeup accordingly!

Re: Day Of Question

it seems like a long time but that is totally normal

all of the weddings i have been in the ceremony was at 3PM and we were AT the hair salon at 8AM getting ready and totally dressed by 12PM

you will be beautiful ALL DAY LONG!

Re: Day Of Question

i'm getting married there too, and we're having a 12 pm ceremony so i was worried about this. Our photo said 2 hours is all they need for before pics - they really don't have a choice b/c the Riviera doesn't open until 10. so i'm trying to figure out the a.m. stuff b/c they will take pics at my house and FH's house when we're getting ready - I figured we'd get to the Riviera around 10:30.

so yeah, i think that's too early. isn't 2 hours plenty of time for before pics? and so that would make it like 4:30 right? in which case be ready by 3 or 3:30. I hear you, i would not want my dress on that far ahead.

I think you'll be fine. I have almost the exact same timeline

And...you could always take amandalynn's advice and stand outside.....I plan on doing that too, hopefully it doesn't rain!!

naaaaaaaa..i thought that too for my moh's wedding- her ceremony was at 3 and we got hair and makeup at 9:30 and 10 i think....maybe even earlier. AND IT WAS JULY!!!

It was fine....just bring blotting papers...the makeup artist takes care of the rest

I'm slightly OCD...I'm freaking out about this and I still have 4 months....

Re: Day Of Question

i have a timeline almost identical to yours....

i think it's perfect.....like Amanda said - make sure you alert Kacey to the situation - that you expect to be crying a LOT & you are afraid of sweating...i'm sure it'll affect the type of makeup she uses & i'm also sure it'll be just fine!!!!
