How much does it cost for someone to come in and run things just on the day of the wedding. I can do all of the planning.

Re: day of the even coordinator
Prices vary depending on DOC. Some girls ranged from 450 and up. I was quoted 1100 for a Sat night in June from PWP. If you do a search, you can find recent posts about DOC's. Good Luck!!!!

I personally think they are worth it because I don't want myself, FH either of our sets of parents or anyone in the bridal party to worry about anything, I want everyone to enjoy the day/night.
I am paying $1500 for my DOC, it is on the pricier side but she has worked with my family before and we know she is worth every penny.

I mentioned it to my sister and she was just like 'what the heck do you need that for?' LOL I guess I don't really know what they do.

Re: day of the even coordinator
Don't some venues already have someone like that who 'takes charge' of everything that day for you and its usually included ? Or am I thinking of something different?

you do get a bridal attendant and maitre'd that the RH provides, if that is what you're referring to
A DOC will perform extra services like confirming all of your vendors, make sure everyone needs to be where they are, comes with an 'emergency kit' just in case anything goes wrong the day of, make sure your RH set up is the way you wanted (like w/ your favors and stuff), packs stuff up at the end of the reception, and more.... for more money they will attend your rehearsal, etc... depends on what you want!
i was looking into one b/c i hear girls talk about it all the time on here and one of my biggest fears is a vendor not showing up on my wedding day.. but FH absolutely refuses to spend any extra money we have in our wedding fund for one, so i guess i will just have to wing it!

Re: day of the even coordinator
I need a day of the event coordinator because my wedding isn't traditional. We're renting out a pavilion at a state park and getting our own caterers and renting stuff from different people etc. I would like someone to be able to make sure everything goes smoothly and that all of the vendors show up!
