Day of Timeline - PLEASE HELP!!!

Original post by MrsNYPDsGirl

OMG, I am in a slight panic right now...

I am scheduled to takie pictures before the church with the bridal party and FH, and my church is at 5pm and my cocktail hour begins at 6:30pm.

My reception hall is seriously less than 1 mile from my church. And I am not having a full mass, just the ceremony.

But is 1.5 hours enough time to have the ceremony and take pictures at the Church and get to the reception (that is less than 1 mile away)??? I thought it would be, but now, after speaking to people at work, I am worried.

I want to do a receiving line....

Anyone know how long a ceremony typically takes???

Please help!!! Moving the church time to 4:30 would involve contacting soooo many vendors: Florist, Limos, Harpist, Church, Invitation Person (which thankfully have not been ordered but have the proof for), Photographer...

I am soooo stressed right now!!!

I thought a ceremony was only about 20-30 minutes....

Hope it works out for you

This would be GREAT if it is true!! I have never been to just the ceremony in a church!!!

NYPDS..I think it is true!!!! CALL THE FRIGGIN CHURCH ALREADY!!!

FYI -- I CALLED today and great Father Bob is on VACATION! I didn't know priests took vacations! I wonder where they go?!?!

Well the priest we met with told us that he doesn't know who will marry us since he goes to Ireland every July for the whole month...MUST BE NICE

NYPDS..sorry, I will stop posting/hijacking so you get some answers to you question..

I think a 1/2 hr TOPS!!!

ETA: also let your photographer know that you want to make the ct hr...he will push everything through. I would also call them for piece of mind...and let them know your situation..

Well are you going to have the entire BP on the recieving line?? You might just want to have your mom, his parents ...you and your DH and thats it as to speed things along...and then you can have the BP help to move people out of the church. This is what one of my friends did and it worked beautifully
