Can anyone tell me what their timeline is or was? I am all over the place as to what time I should be ready, the girls be ready, the boys be ready....
My bus is picking up the girls at 2:45 then going to get the boys by 3:30, then to the church by 4:00ish....my limo is coming at 3:45 and to the church for a 4:30 ceremony...would it be too early to tell the girls to be ready by 1-1:30 so we can get pictures, then i will do my pictures alone after they are gone...do I have to be ready by 1 or earlier? How is this working for everyone else? The limo company just called with all these questions and threw this all into motion for me!

Re: Day of Wedding Timeline?
what did your photog say? i think telling them to be ready b 1:00 is good ( just incase anyone is runnign late that gives you a good cushion- you can get ready while they are there- kind of having them hlep you... but I think you are pretty good on your timeline!

Re: Day of Wedding Timeline?
ugh I'm having the same problem trying to figure out how many/what size for the limos and where/when to leave!!
I would say definatly talk to your vendors - they would know how much time you need to get ready and take pics.

Re: Day of Wedding Timeline?
I just posted this same question on the newlywed board to see what they thought:
************************
I have been thinking about the timing of my day lately (thanks to a nasty wedding nightmare!) and wanted to see what you girls did. My ceremony is at 1pm, at the fox hollow. cocktail hour follows immediately and since we want to be at our cocktail hour, we are taking pics before. i was originally thinking that we'd take pics at 11 and be done by 12:30. Is that enough time for family portrait (posed) shots and a bunch of FH and me? I want mostly photojournalism. Maybe we should allow an hour for each - 10:30-11:30 and then 11:30-12:30?
And if I do start pics at 10:30, that would mean I have to leave my house at 9:45-10:00 ... would you then have the hair person show up at 7 and makeup at 8? If she is done by 8:45 or so that gives me some time to put on my dress and take a few pics at my house. Or should I start earlier?? My photog is coming at 8:30 I think - I have him for 10 hours so he would do 8:30-6:30, which is when my wedding ends, but I guess I could have him come at 8 if need be, to get makeup pics ... and he would leave at 6 I guess, missing the last 1/2 hour. Or I could just pay for another hour or something.
************************
I haven't gotten many responses yet - just one - I'll let you know if I get more!

Great thanks! I guess it would have been best to post it on that one being they've all been through it already!

Re: Day of Wedding Timeline?
OK for the OP I would say your timeline seems good, you should ask your photog, he/she will guide you with what works for your schedule, then you can answer the limo company.
For JBoothin2008, fox hollow does a run thru exactly 1 hour before the ceremony, take sbaout 20 min and then ther is 1/2 hour for seating of the guests. So your pics should be between 10-12, about an hour and a half should be fine. PJ pics can be taken at the same time as reg pics, he will pick stuff up at the house and during the traditional shots and in between pics. You should probably have all hair and make-up done by 8:30 and just need to put your dress on. This way the photog can get some PJ shots of you getting ready, then family and BM's, then off to the hall for formals and rehearsal. IT will all be fine, but always work with your vendors, they know which way to set up your timeline.

THANKS!!!! So maybe I will have hair at 6:30, m/u at 7:30 - SO EARLY! But this does sound like a more reasonable schedule, will give me time to have some extra time. I only have one BM, so maybe while I am getting hair done, she can have m/u, and while I have m/u she can have hair. My mom probably won't do either.
And since we have to have a run through at 12, that will give someone time after that to check in to the inn for me and put all my stuff over there. This is working out well now!! Thanks again!!!!! Going to type up a timeline now.
