Day time wedding stress..

So we are having a day wedding (12-5:30) at Giorgio's baiting hollow.

I would just like any brides advice or experience with day weddings. I am going to a night wedding today and sometimes I get a little upset because of our limited time and it's definitely a different feel.

I always pictured a very long wedding day but we have to get up super early to get ready and I am worried during the reception people won't dance/party because it's not at night.

We did a day wedding for a few reasons...one being the view of the venue outside...and cost is a lot cheaper.

Also any Giorgio's brides that have experienced the transition??? Does anyone know if I would end up seeing the next bride come in? How rushed is it??

Help and assurance appreciated!!! Xoxo!

Day time wedding stress..

I think that we are at an advantage as day time brides. I'm sure you already know my bride and I are getting married at Giorgios as well... we hotel blocked Hotel Indigo and we are having shuttles take everyone back to the hotel that way we can have an after party... and even brunch the next day. We are lucky enough that we don't have to CRAM seeing every single person during our wedding- which becomes overwhelming.... we experienced this at our engagement party and barely had any time together- and that's not what the day was about- so we are planning on getting to the venue at 8:00am that way we have 3 hours to take pictures before the ceremony starts (separate) and then we are lucky enough to have daylight hours AFTER our wedding at 5:00pm so we can take TONS of our pictures together without missing our wedding. :D :D :D I hope this helps!

Day time wedding stress..

I've been to many weddings and noticed that people will dance if they like the music and want to dance, the time of day really makes no difference. If you have people who like to dance and like the music they will dance regardless.

This! I've been to three day weddings. The first was 1-7, the DJ was great and so was the bartender, I can't believe how fast the wedding went by. The second was 12:30-5 I think.. We had to leave early because we were going to a second wedding that day but I will tell you everyone at that wedding was dancing. The main reason: the DJ. The last wedding I went to, people weren't dancing as much but in my opinion, the DJ/MC was not playing the right music at the right time at all, but I think it would have been the same regardless of the time. A good DJ/music playlist will put people in party mode no matter what time it is.

Day time wedding stress..

I went to a day wedding at a different venue but everyone was dancing and drinking. They kept it pretty dark in the room so you really do forget it's the day time. This wedding also had an after party back at the hotel which we didn't attend but a lot of other people did. I think a day wedding can be beautiful. I wouldn't worry about it at all.
