Day Weddings

Day Weddings

Anyone else having a day wedding? I am wondering what to do once the wedding is over. We have booked a block at the hotel and I am thinking that we will have something in the bar area there once we come back. Is this something that we should be paying for as well or do a cash bar afterwards? Any thoughts?

I am inthe same situation. My wedding is ending at 5:30pm and once we are done with our final pics we should be back at the hotel by 6:30-7. I am doing an afterparty at the hotel, doing 2 hours opne bar, beer and wine only and still deciding if I am doing appetizers (the after party will be from 7-9)

I just realized your having your wedding at Giorgio's as well...I am doing it at the Hyatt, at Jimmy the Mermaid, way cheaper that at the actual hotel or aquarium...plus Jimmy seems to work with the price esp since blocking rooms at the hotel

DH's parents are from OOT and rented a house with a huge backyard

We had the most ridiculous after party! It was so much fun. We got a coach bus to and from the hotel to the house, and everyone had the best time

I am doing a twilight wedding, but it's ending at 8:30. We are getting a hotel block, in hopes people stay and party after.
and, NO, you are not expected to cover the bill for an post-party. You just paid for the entire wedding!

This is why I didn't want a day wedding... 5 hours with my guests is enough!

Kidding aside, I think you can do a bar in a hotel afterwards unless someone offers their home. But I wouldn't go crazy spending more money to entertain them after the wedding.

after my wedding (ended at 5pm), DH and I went to our hotel room - we were pretty tired and somewhat dehydrated. we were really happy to spend the rest of the night together

We chilled at the hotel afterwards. I wanted to go out but I was so tired!! Plus a lot of my guests either left or were just as tired!!

I woud check with the hotel to see if they offer anything with some snacks and drinks..

Our wedding is at night and we are going to meet at bar at the hotel for those who want to stay up and party a little bit more...

We are having a day wedding. FH and I are going back to a hotel and spending the evening with each other. Our guests are adults, and I just spend the whole day entertaining them - I need some time alone - lol!
