Re: daytime weddings...
Well my fiance and I are taking pictures before the ceremony so that we do not have miss the CH. My ceremony begins at 10:30-we are taking pics at about 9. My hair/makeup ladies will be arriving at my house around 5:30am (I really think I was smoking crack when I opted for a morning wedding! j/k). The limos are picking me up at about 8:15am. Cermony ends at about 11, we have about a 20 min drive to RH and cocktail hour starts at noon. I am hoping to have some time to take a few pics at my reception location before CH begins. Hope this helps!

Re: daytime weddings...
wow, this makes me feel better...maybe i will take pics before the wedding too, i dont want to miss the CH...i dont mind waking up early, i wil be too excited to be tired... oh..by the way, are you having your bridesmaids get their hair done at your place too? if so, is there just going to be one person doing everyones hair? just wondering if that will be a prob for timing....
oh also...where are you taking pics with your FH? at your house? or somewhere else...my house isnt really the best for pics, so i want to find a place close by where i can go

Re: daytime weddings...
Our ceremony is at 11am and we are not seeing each other before. We are going to take pics with the girls at around 9 or 9:30 and the photographer will take pics with the guys seperately as well. Our reception immediately follows the ceremony and I don't want to miss the cocktail hour completely so the photographer is going to organize pics he needs in like, 20 minute increments here and there so I don't miss too much of any one thing. Not sure what time I am getting up, maybe 6? I doubt I'll be able to sleep anyway!

My wedding was at 10:30am.
Woke up at 5:00am
Went to salon at 6:00am
Arrived back at house at 8:00am w/BM
Dressed/Pictures until 10:00am/10:15am
Left in limo for church btw 10am-10:15am
Arrived at church at 10:30am and my ceremony started 10 min later.
Yes, I know - I was late to my own wedding! But can't start the day without the bride!

Ceremony was at 9:30 I woke up at 5:30 to shower Started hair around 6:15, make-up around 7 BMs arrived at 6 or 6:30 for hair (I had 5 BMs + me + my mom and 2 hairdressers) Everyone got dressed around 8:00ish Took a few pics w/ my parents then left for church around 9:00 Ceremony 9:30 - 10:30 Receiving Line 10:30 - 11 Drive to reception hall 11-12 Pics w/ DH, BP and family 12:00 - almost 2:00 (We ended up missing the CH which started at 1:00)
We didn't feel rushed at all in the AM since I didn't really care to do my BP pics at my mom's house but it was the time between the ceremony and CH that I totally misplanned and that makes me wish we had gotten more done ealier

Re: daytime weddings...
I can't wake up before 7am.... I'll be a wreck all day.... it'll ruin everything for me.
Our ceremony is at 11am. Mind you our church is only 2 blocks from our home, so there's no commute.
I'm hoping waking up at 7am will suffice. We have a small bridal party, and FH and I don't care about seeing each other before the ceremony. Actually, we'd like to take some pix for 20 min or so prior to it.
I should really contact my hairdresser and talk to her about this schedule thing....
you girls always keep me on my toes! thanks!

Re: daytime weddings...
our ceremony is at noon but its a half hour from my house. so we will have to get up early to get ready and get to the church. we are doing pictures at 2 at old westbury gardens and then i think the cocktail hour will start around 3 or 4. we havent figured it all out yet! we're old fashioned with not wanting to see each other till the ceremony.

Re: daytime weddings...
I AM SOOO GLAD TO SEE THIS POST!! I have been stressing about this whole time thing. My church is at 10:30 it's like two mintues from my house. My photographer said he is coming to my house at 8:00 and then to FH's at 9:45 for pics of bridal party. We aren't having a mass.
I am booked at Old Westbury Gardens from 11:45 to 1:15 and my cocktail hour starts at one about 45 mintues from the gardens. I think we are going to cut our time short at OWG and try to make the last half hour of CH.
Wish me luck I'm not sure how it's going to go!!
Any suggestions?
BTW...I am trying to figure out if I should have my BM's not get ready at my house or have them get ready. Who knows!!!

Re: daytime weddings...
My wedding's at 11:30am, and I haven't booked hair and makeup yet. Who is doing yours? Will they think I'm insane when I ask them to show up at 7am in the morning? Did you have trouble getting someone that early?
'd love to have my long-time hair stylist do my hair, but he's in Manhattan, doesn't have a car, and I can't imagine him getting up that early on a Sunday morning to come out to Suffolk County to do my hair, even if he's welcome to stay on for the wedding! He's kind of a late-nite party guy.
