DB Alterations

Question.... I have my first fitting at the David's Bridal in Massapequa. I had mixed feelings about having alterations done there but doing it knowing that if they f-up they will be responsible. However, I was just reading the policies online and its says you have to pay upfront at your first fitting? Is that normal?

Also, has anyone had experience with alterations at that location?
