We're thinkin about a DC area GTG in the afternoon of Saturday the 12th of March.
Now, I only really know the Fair Oaks area so I could pick a place around there - but I can make it into DC/Alexandria etc. as long as I have directions.
Anyone know of anywhere that's really great in the area that they would suggest? It's pretty up in the air right now, so whatever works for everyone else!

Old Town Alexandria has many good restaurants and stores (Bridal and otherwise). Another plus, its metro accessible, and right off the Beltway so its easy to get to. I can suggest specific places if needed.

Old Town sounds great to me! I've never been - but I've heard it's great! Plus, most of the DC brides seem to be from that area.
Okay, who has some suggestions for places for lunch?

Here are some suggestions (in no particular order): -Hard Times Cafe- burgers/fries/chilli -Murphy's- Irish/bar food (and the best music in the evenings) -Five Guys- Burgers and fries in a paper sack, but soo good -Fish Market- excellent seafood -Portners- good food, can't remember a specialty -Bertucci's- pizza/pasta -Facia Luna- the best pizza/pasta in the area -Austin Grill- Mexican

I love Old Town too and they are a lot of places to go there. I vote for the Fish market. This will be a lots of fun.

I've heard of Bertucci's too.. but i know nothing about the others.

i love the idea of Portner's, they have a little more space than some of the other places.
