I'm getting married at de seversky mansion. Inviting ~160-170 people. We are doing a euro style (dinner in ballroom, dancing in glass garden room). I'm not sure when we should do intros?? Before dinner in ballroom or after dinner when we move into the glass garden room.... Would love to hear what other de seversky brides are doing (or have done)....
Thanks !!

Re: De seversky brides
We too are doing the Euro style dinner with 160 invited in November 2013. At the moment we are having dinner in the dining room with dancing in Ballroom. I liked the idea of spending more time in ballroom. Eric mentioned doing intros when we enter ballroom after dinner. It may just be bc it's a larger room and better photos? You could do it either way. I like the intros as we begin dancing bc it signals the start of party time. What made you go with dancing in atrium? I'm torn between the two.

Well it was the only choice he presented to me. However at the time I thought we may be having less people. I guess there are many way u can do it.

Re: De seversky brides
I'm also almost booked with de Seversky for August 2013 to do a Euro Style, 150 to 175 people.
I'm having dancing in the ballroom after dinner in the windowed room and adjoining restaurant room.
I was planning on doing introductions and stuff after dinner in the ballroom.
At first i thought this whole euro thing was such a cool idea and now i'm wondering if it's a good idea to have dinner and dancing in seperate areas.
Any past de Seversky brides able to weigh in on how all of that went? Did you end up liking the euro style? I'm just wondering if people will get bored eating for an hour and then having 3 hours to dance. We have an eclectic mix of people and i know some of them won't hit the dancefloor at all. I know they'll have the library dessert room open for them to hang out but i don't know...

you can try searching 'de seversky' on the boards - i know there were a few chains going last year from other brides. personally, i like the idea of dancing in the patio room - with tables set up in the adjoining dining room - especially for summer weddings when guests can wander outside on the grounds. however, you may have less people dancing - but it gives your guests the opportunity to sit and relax or dance the night away. love having desert in the library - thats what we're doing for our traditional reception in the ballroom. we wanted to maximize our time in the ballroom (and bc we only have 100 guests). im sure whatever you decide will be wonderful - that house is so perfect!
