I see the de Seversky Center is listed as a vendor on here. I have never heard of them? Does anyone know anything about this hall? What price range do they fall into? thanks!!

Re: de Seversky Center
FH went to see this hall, not me, but he says it's a beautiful old style mansion, price ranges in the $80 (he's not sure if he's remembering correctly and he doesn't remember what time of the year or day of week that was for) but one thing's for sure that I saw -- the menu needed serious beefing up in comparison to most other reception sites.

Hi Linda!
Yes I am getting married there and couldn't be more happy!
Hi Jen!
Well let me start by saying this place is beautiful looking and the food is fantastic. Everything is handmade from fresh ingredients. They only have one affair per day and the whole place is yours. It is an old gold coast mansion that long ago someone actually lived in. Then NYIT purchased it. Now they host different events and special dinners like a wine tasting dinner and holidays dinners and weddings. My Aunt told me about it. She is a travel agent and they have functions there sometimes. So we went to a Valentine Brunch there and we were blown away by the food. I want the food at my wedding to be awesome. I wanted a really romantic wedding and this settings gives me the option to do that. When you walk in you see a gorgeous staircase and know you are in for a treat. As far as prices it depends on what day and time you have it. The prices include everything...cocktail hour, appetizers, dinner, cake (made by the pastry chefs) coffe, and tea, top shelf liqour. The menu you get to pick from is awesome. So many choices it is going to be hard to pick. The prices can be anywhere from $125 to $150 pp. It is on the pricey side but the quality is outstanding. For a Saturday evening you have to guarantee 100 I think. The ballroom is gorgeous and has such a great feel to it. It can hold up to 150 I think. You can also have cocktail hour outside if it is a beautiful day. The grounds are gorgeous! Everyone there is such a pleasure to work with. I have called a few times and the dining room manager always stops what she is doing to answer all my questions. Her name is Pilar Visconti. She is so nice. And she is getting married there herself this September. That is a true testament to the place when the person who works there gets married there. If she was getting married anywhere else I would be weary. So I hope that is good information. I'm here if you have any questions whatsoever.
Here is a picture of the main ballroom. I liked the look of the wood. We are going to have all red roses and ivory pilars on the tables. I think it will be romantic looking. OHHHH! I can't wait! Thanks for making me look at these pictures today. Perked me right up
The first picture is the centerpiece that will be on the tables. This bride had a red toile table runner but mine won't have a runner. We are doing red table linens as well. The next picture is going to be on the table with us and the bridal party. Then the third picture is the look I am going for with red on red.
Ok off to start preparing for my 4th of July party today. Have a great day!
