I had asked in the past for some information but no one had much so I thought I would try again. Anyone ever have or attend a wedding there with a sit down dinner. I am a little concerned that the package they are offerring does not have enough food. Any thoughts???

Re: De Seversky Mansion......
I attended a wedding there... it was very different. The cocktail hour was in 3 or 4 different rooms and the sit down dinner was the same. There was PLENTY of food, but everyone was split up. If you want any more info feel free to FM me

Re: De Seversky Mansion......
A friend of mine had her wedding there. I wasn't friends with her at the time so I did not attend, but FOOD was definitely not an issue. Another friend reiterated the same point. They are a culinary institute so it's all about the food.

Re: De Seversky Mansion......
Thank you.....for $ 140 sit down dinner they are offerring a choice of 6 passed Hors d'oevres and only 1 display station for the cocktail hour. It is the choice of one station that worries me. Everywhere else the cocktail hour seems so extensive. Could you get more information from her on what she had???

I would worry more about the quality of food at the wedding rather than the quantity. You want your guest to be full and happy not rolling out and sick...lol. I would say I have never heard anyone leaving there hungry and have never heard anything bad about the amount or the quality of the food there

Re: De Seversky Mansion......
I went to a wedding there about a year and a half ago but it was cocktail-style reception. I believe that was because they had too many people for a sit-down. I didn't like that everyone was split up. We couldn't sit in the main room but that, again, was probably due to the size of the wedding. It is an absolutely beautiful setting (especially if you have the ceremony outside).

I don't know, but perhap they paid more $$ for more food, unless they changed the menu/pricing.

They also had a package at $220 per person which might be what she had.
