Dear Christmas Music Playin Radio Stations,

Can you NOT play the song 'Christmas Shoes' - of course I listen to it, and then I get all these strange looks from other drivers as I sit bawling in my car.

WTH - can you just play me some Dominic the Donkey and Grandma Got Run over by a Reindeer PLEASE?

Thanks,
Listening to Christmas Music should NOT be hazardous to the safety of other drivers

Re: Dear Christmas Music Playin Radio Stations,

I agree! I turn the radio off if I hear that song start up. Too sad! That and the one they play and insert soldiers saying hello to their family...ugh, gets me every time.

I haven't heard this one yet, but it sounds like a real tear-jerker. I should keep extra tissues handy this time of year!!!

I work for one of these stations. And it is such a sad song. But I relate to this song because when my grandma passed, I wanted her to have new shoes. So we got her a new pair of shoes. So when this song comes on I think of her.

Ahh...now I am crying without even listening to it! That is so sweet.

Do you work for 97.5? Cause I have listened for at least 7 hours to Christmas music and I have yet to hear a single fav of mine. Tell em to mix it up!

Re: Dear Christmas Music Playin Radio Stations,

yeah i have been listening to christmas music at work ( with headphones on of course!) and every time i even THINK its that song i have to turn it off. . . no need to hysterically cry at work

but i definitely can relate bc i have cried hysterically in my car to that song. . . if it comes on and I am with FH he tries to sing inappropriate things over it to make me laugh but it never works!

Re: Dear Christmas Music Playin Radio Stations,

My confession is that I love the donkey song and make ALL of the donkey sounds. DH gets a big kick out of that.

The Kinks song is great too... Something like 'Father Christmas, give us your money. We'll beat you up if you make any noise.'

If the Christmas Shoes song is anything like Butterfly Kisses, I'd be a goner too. I like happy, funny songs.

me too! You gotta make the donkey sounds.

Christmas Shoes is about a little boy who is going to buy shoes for his dying mother and it is MAX SAD. I also get weepy when I hear Kelly Clarkson's Grown Up Christmas List

Re: Dear Christmas Music Playin Radio Stations,

Oh and odd, save the world xmas songs need to be played solely after I'm fast asleep. And the weird 80s versions of some songs.

This is a HAPPY time...I don't want to hear sad stuff...if I want sad, I can just recall Britney and K-fed and Britney and Paris.

Re: Dear Christmas Music Playin Radio Stations,

Instead of the shoes song...they should play the 'Twelve Pains of Christmas' song!

LOVE IT!

Best Line EVER!: FINE! YOU'RE SO SMART, YOU RIG UP THE LIGHTS!!!
