Please stop substituting plot contrivances for plot development. And forced backstory for character development. And dramatic revelations for continuity.
Also, please show Sawyer's nekkid heiney more often.
P.S. Hey, remember that time the pregnant lady and the hobbit were kidnapped by that guy? And they found the hobbit half-dead but didn't find the pregnant lady? And they were looking all over the place for the missing pregnant lady? And they couldn't find her so they kept looking, and looking? Oh, you don't? Well, it all happened in the previous episode!!! Why isn't anyone looking for the missing pregnant lady??????

Look, I can only deal with one American import at a time. You'll have to wait until the BBC gives up on the Boy with no Face and The Man who's Skin Fell Off documentaries, till we get some real drama over here and then I can address your queries...kay?

My thoughts exactly.
But I like the backstory...helps me really understand the characters.

The backstory wouldn't bother me if it wasn't so maudlin and rote!!
A freaking toy plane!!!!! 'The man I loved... the man I killed!'
I'm still addicted to it, but it's not the fun kind of addiction anymore!

Yes, it was especially moving...especially since he was about 40 years old and still lived with his mother who had to change his dressings about twice a day (think all-over 3rd degree burn x 10) and whom he lovingly referred to as f-ing c-word while she was doing it! Strangely enough, the expletatives were all quite understandable and when he died at the end everyone (including me) let out a huge sigh of relief. Gives new meaning to the word pain...wow, this post is such a thread killer!

What about not even mentioning in the episode that Locke and Boone found that metal thing in the ground (they revisit it next week). I was thinking maybe every two episodes covers a day? If you notice you don't see too much of certain characters in each episode. Last night they did not have the Japanese Man on at all (his wife just briefly) and you only caught glimpses of Walt and his dad. They showed Locke and Boone and total of about 3 minutes.
I must say that Sawyer is growing on me. They should let him walk around without his shirt on more ofter.
