Dear Debbie,

Congratulations, my friend! Today (okay, tomorrow...but, I won't be online this weekend, so I have to post this tonight) is your last day at your 'paid' job and Saturday will mark the official beginning of your 'unpaid' job....Motherhood! Although you'll never get a paycheck, may the title of 'Mom' bring a richness to your life that is beyond compare.

I just have two requests before you go.
#1 - Please hook up your laptop ASAP! This should take priority over preparing the nursery. After all, the kid could sleep in a dresser drawer for the first few weeks, but WE cannot be expected to live without you for that long!
And #2 - Please make sure someone lets us know when you've had the baby! As you know, we are an impatient bunch and chaos may takeover, if we are left to our own devices.

But seriously....I could not be happier for you and Joe, and while I will miss you dearly during your maternity leave (and probably suffer withdrawal from the funny Deb and Joe stories!), I just want to wish you a quick and healthy labor and delivery. (I really hope Joe doesn't pass out on you!)

God bless the three of you...and make sure that little one knows as early as possible that he/she has one heck of a fan club waiting to meet him/her!

Deb, I must say I agree with CLaud, the baby will not know the difference whether he/she is in a drawer or a crib, so get to that laptop immediately. Don't have us waiting too long on the word now I wish you all the best with your last day with your little bear cub. Take care and all the best to you and Joe and the baby.

Ok Claud and everyone else, you have officially made me cry! I couldn't log on to LIW yesterday and was praying that my computer would work today so that I could say my 'final farewell' FOR NOW!!!!
