Well, there's Discovery Home channel which we just 'discovered'. It's 172 at our house (HGTV is 98). We love it!!

I agree. I have seen the same episodes of House Hunters way too many times. Especially the cheesy ones where they get the call from the realtor at the end.

some of the places they walk into- id never have that reaction it will be a dump they will say 'oh nice space- great celiling' LOL id walk in and probably say 'get me out of this sh1t hole!'

I am SO SICK of House Hunters!!! Why is it that everytime I turn on HGTV lately, House Hunters is on??? I LOVE Divine Design though, and also Designed to Sell

BBC America has Cash in the Attic, Bargain Hunt and Changing Rooms (which is like Trading Spaces on TLC). There is also the Discovery Home Chanel, and the Fine Living Chanel.

Isn't also great when they are like 'hmmmm. I really don't like the color of the walls, or this wallpaper is not my style.' HELLO??? You can repaint the walls and take down the wallpaper!!

DH and I start singing 'shikkkkaaaaaaaaah' everytime it comes on. House Hunters is definitely my favorite show since we are in the process of looking for one as well. I'm glad to see I am not the only house nerd out there

OK...has anyone NOT bought a house in House Hunters? I love how Suzanne alludes to the fact that they are 'hunting' for a house in the hopes of finding one. But there's always three houses and they always pick one. That annoys me!! It's so scripted!! But I love the show!

Love HGTV too .. but isn't it kind of silly .. sitting there .. watching all these shows on fixing up spaces, etc .. when you could be fixing up your own spaces?! (That's my problem)
As for House Hunters .. yeah, it's 'scripted' that they show 3 choices, and in the end the couple buys one of the three .. but it's not like the show is endless where they could show you all the options the hunters have looked at.
As for Designed to Sell .. I love the episodes with Lisa & Clive .. I am not too fond of the new people I've seen hosting the show (in place of Lisa & Clive).
As for Designer's Challenge .. it makes me sick the budgets people have for the renovations on that show .. $85,000 for a kitchen??!! It makes me very, very depressed. That will NEVER be in my budget .. heck, even $35,000 is far from being in my budget.
As for Devine Design .. I love most of what Candice Olsen does .. but I'd love to know the budgets on those rooms.
As for Design on a Dime .. I prefer watching episodes hosted by Lee (though I can't stand Summer) .. but I generally prefer the results in the episodes where Kristen designed (though I can't stand her either, and am not a fan of Spencer). Dave & Charles make me laugh though.
Never noticed before just how many of HGTV's shows have the word 'design' in it .. until I just previewed this message!
