Dear Random Hipster wearing a knit hat, scarf and coat

It's September12th.

So unless you have some rare disorder that makes you feel so cold as to wear all of that stuff - you don't look cool. Please alert the other hipsters who might make the same mistake.

Signed,

P.S. If you have to call yourself a 'hipster', you probably arent' hip in the first place. ok, midwestern cornball that has an intense need to be oh soooooo New York........

where is the puke icon when you really need it!

I'm soooo anti-Brooklyn Hipster. And I had to hang out with a bunch of them on Friday night at this wine and cheese party in Greenpoint.

ugh...what a waste of time for you. I'd rather have my eyes gouged out by ravenous birds...

there is this place in Brooklyn...Red Hook. not exactly one of the best places to be/live, especially at night.

anyway for years and years they have had soccer games at the fields down there, mostly Mexican and Central/South American teams. so they have these booths set up and people cook and sell foods typical to their region.

Recently, horrific events have occurred...HIPSTERS are starting to over run the place. I am seeing them everywhere...and they are so annoying! now the food is going to be MORE $$ and of late it hasn't been as good.

I hate when things become a 'novelty' to people...azzholes this is the way people live every day...and NO, THERE ARE NO BEAN AND CHEESE PUPUSAS!

Oh, it was a waste of time. They were all talking about their hipster bands and they asked me what I listen to and I said, '80s hair metal.' Hipsters don't understand sarcasm when it doesn't come from their own kind apparently.

What do the hipsters do? Drink coffee and smoke while the soccer games go on?

Poor Brooklyn.

You should've told them WHAM!

Ugggggggh, I feel for you ladies, I really do!!!!!

Fortunately I don't run into many hipsters, except at the mall. And then I literally run into them, 20 points for knocking their knit hat off!!

no Mel, it's not that they dont' get the sarcasm...it's just that they are 'like unbelievably totally unaffected, like you know, sarcasm it's just not....hip ya know like, it's too strong for us laid back types'

dh and I want to stage a stabbing in Redhook so it'll scare the hipsters away.

I LOVE seeing them walk (in pack of course ) along Nostrand Ave or Myrtle Ave in the newly 'discovered' neighborhoods... (this emoticon is just not enough to convey my disgust)

and don't even get me started on RATNER!

why the eff to people think they've 'DISCOVERED' Brooklyn!!!1

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Ratner

You know what's actually worse than Brooklyn hipsters? The LA wannabe hipsters.
Yes, I had to hang out with them in June.
Yes, I wanted to commit violence against myself.

Sadly, I know what you are referring to with regards to these LA hipsters. My theory is maybe the LA hipsters have returned to NY for the winter and are thus now holed up in Brooklyn. Most of the LA people I know are orginally from NY and went west to find themselves. Poor Brooklyn indeed. My parents are from Brooklyn so I have a sentimental attachment to it.

The funny of thing about the LA hipsters is I think that some of them have never set foot in NY and would die by November from the cold.

Brooklyn and LA should have a hipster exchange program since the warmth that is LA would kill the Brooklyn hipsters.

Well yeah! If all they wear is a knit hat, scarf and coat, and they sleep in a park, they'd be frostbitten by December 1st! I'm all for the exchange program idea but how about we just send ALL NY hipsters to LA and be done with them? Make room for the next group of wanna-be's for us NY'ers to deal with!

sounds like it could work. I know the perfect venue for it

the South Brooklyn Casket Company...they'd love the 'authenticity' of it..

I'd live through an ice age if it meant getting hipsters OUT OF BROOKLYN!
