Dear Supermarket Deli-Counter Girl:

I appreciate you cutting my cold cuts (I will never acclimate myself to PA so much as to call my cold cuts lunch meat) for me. However, I do not feel the need to tell you that I don't like my turkey cut into 1/2 inch thick pieces, I think that in your training, you should have learned that. (As a former supermarket employee, I know she did). So, in the future, if you could cut me normal sized pieces of turkey, I'd be very happy. Thank you.

I hate that too! I specifically ask them to cut it thin and I get home and it's in 3 inch thick slices!!!!

LOL.

Also, while they ARE magically delicious, 100 calorie packs of Pringles are in no way satisfying enough for a fattie.

My sis lives out in Philly and her boyfriend who's from Philly makes fun of ME for calling it cold cuts and not lunch meat. I will never call it lunch meat!

And I started mentioning 'SLICED THIN' to my deli counter person so I dont get a whole slab of turkey as opposed to the slices were supposed to get!

I honestly have no idea if they have Boar's Head!!! We do have a meat factory (I have no idea if that is what it is called) right here..... and their COLD CUTS are comparable. Hatfield Quality Meats.... good stuff.

Don't even get me started on hoagies..... and grinders!!! I HATE THAT!

The best, one day I was making this sausage bread that I make, and I needed 1lb of sliced mozz. And, you know how we say 'mozzarella' on Long Island. I asked the girl behind the counter for it, and she said, 'I have to check and see if we have that.' FH turned to her, and said it the OTHER way, the way people who are not from NY say it...... and she realized what I wanted!
